This is my second Athena that I have purchased. The first one was a 7.62 chamber that I put on a 7.62 x 39 rifle. I was so impressed with it I decided to purchase one in the .223 caliber. Installation is of course always easy and the actual sound reduction is surprising. If I ever decide to buy another comp or brake for anything it will definitely be from Ultradyne through OP. No I don’t have a definitive decibel number to give you but I’ll tell you this. I was going to suppress the 7.62 before I got the Athena for it. Now I’m not. It’s not as good as a suppressor but it is definitely the next best thing.

Aero makes some great stuff so to combine their products with OP’s delivery makes any experience a 10/10. The install was easier than other, cheaper, LPKs. Nothing was out of place. Magpul’s grip is an awesome plus.

I have always preferred a red dot or holo sight but I needed something with some magnification. This is a great optic for me now and I am waiting to get another already. Basic crosshairs with the option of an illuminating red dot in the center from a trusted company.

I got tired of shouldering a gun and the butt moving my ear pro. I then got tired of the little foam plugs that I would lose in the field and my wife would fuss at me when she found them in the washer or dryer. I found these ear pros goofing off and decided to throw them in with my next order. They work just fine and they come with a nifty little carry case I can put them in. If I need to buy more ear pro I will likely go for these again.

I purchased an Ultradyne Pegasus for a 7.62x39 build for my dad. We liked it but my dad said he needed extra ear pro to shoot the rifle. I then ordered the Athena, skeptical that it would reduce the concussion. To both of our amazement, we could literally shoot the rifle without ear pro. Now I don’t recommend shooting without ear pro on but it drastically reduced the heard noise and concussion at the shooter’s ears. This rifle is for my dad to deer hunt, 0-200 yards, and we never wear ear pro when hunting. I’m glad I found this and bought it. I highly recommend Ultradyne and I highly recommend the Athena. I will buy again for an upcoming pistol build.

I purchased two of these lights several months ago. Both lights were charged and tested before being mounted on rifles. I’m very pleased with these and I will order more for various different uses. I would not attempt to mount the light forward of the muzzle, just saying.

I’m not personally a fan of extended latches but a family member requested one. Instead of buying a whole new CH for $50-$80 that was ambi and extended I thought I’d let them try this out. So I put it in their $10 CH and I immediately had to do a little shaving with a file. After 100 charges or so it should smoothen out. Rate it as a 3 mainly because I think extended latches are overrated, and yes I use scopes. Also a 3 because I had to shave a little off to get it to start working. If extended latches are your thing and prettiness isn’t then get one of these. If you want it pretty then go spend $50.

I put this on my 6.8 rifle months ago and I use this gun a lot. This gun is constantly in and out of a truck, riding on 4 wheelers, in the beds of side by sides, and usually in the woods or laid on the ground. This stock was a cheap, decent looking option for me. I needed something tough but I didn’t want to pay $50-$100 on a stock that might break or get worn out. This stock has been used and I’m very surprised it has lasted this long. Now, I don’t extend it and collapse it 100 times a week. It is set to where I’m comfortable and that’s where it is. This stock works for me and I have already bought another for a different rifle. It does not shake rattle and roll like some others I have had. This gun is not a personal defense gun. It is more like a hunting/livestock defense gun. Could it be used in a personal defense roll? Sure! If the gun was more for personal defense then I would probably go with something else like BCM or VLTOR.
