Voodoo Tactical: The best deal around

Written on Jul 26, 2022

I continue to use Voodoo Tactical gear because it's always well made, and always a great value for the money. This mag pouch is no different. Solid construction, smart design, A+ all the way. Quality stitching, no loose edges, consistently excellent.

When I discovered that I had astigmatism, I realized that optic choices for my SBR were more limited. Fortunately, I found the Spitfire.

There are several reasons I'm glad I did.

On the subject of vision, the Spitfire lets you choose between red and green illumination on the fly, which is a big deal for me because green is easier for my eyes to see. Another reason I like the Spitfire is that the reticle is a dot with concentric rings around it. Your mileage may vary, but I find that the rings make it easier to process your sight picture, especially with both eyes open.

The pushbutton interface is also easy to use, even with gloved fingers. Push either the up or down arrow on the back, and the reticle illuminates. Hold both arrows to turn it off, or hold both of them even longer to switch between red and green light.

Right out of the box, it feel substantial without being heavy. The mount is rock-solid, and easy to attach to a picatinny rail with the included star-bit wrench. (Can I say Torxâ„¢ on here without violating a trademark? I guess we'll find out.)
