Review for
UTG Pro Recon Flex II Bipods
Mounted these onto a Colt LE 6920 W/Magpul SL Carbine Length A2 Handguard. Deploy/retract in a few seconds, quickly and easily. They fold forward and keep out of the way so you can still use your handstop grip, light, laser, etc. at the very end of the handguard. Stick with the 9"-11" version or longer, unless you plan on using it with a low-cap magazine. To my surprise, they swivel left to right easily enough.
I use a Sig Sauer Bravo3 Prismatic, a heavy beast of an optic and they still make the rifle very stable, more stable than other bipods I have used in the past, even better than much more expensive sets. Each foot is individually adjustable making the rifle stable on uneven surfaces. Build quality is excellent, they appear to be coated, handgun blue(?), very light weight, with rubberized feet. I left them mounted in between a few trips to the range, banged them around in back of the car inside a cheapo rifle bag and they are still tight on the rifle. Note that I use a small amount of blue locktite.
It appears that a lot of forethought went into the design, engineering, and manufacturing of these bipods. They are 100% functional, made to be used and abused.
Bottom line: This is the best addition I have made to the rifle under $100, one of those very rare extreme values. These are a must have if you are using an mlok handguard. Better than the Magpul and more expensive sets in my opinion.
