It seems that you can spend as much as you want to for an AR charging handle. This extended latch resolves the accessibility problem that you can get mounting a scope on an AR. Knock the pin out of a GI charging handling (don't let the spring fly), remove the latch and install this one in its place. Now you can conveniently charge the action by hooking this extended lever on one side.

These are branded by a nearby Texas company and I wanted to support them. It turns out it's a non-adjustable, 3.5 to 4 pound (inconsistent) trigger with significant creep and over-travel, and hands-down the worst non-GI AR trigger I ever bought... but not the cheapest, despite a folded sheet metal chassis. It feels like a GI trigger with less grit.

Despite the price (the only reason I would rate 4 rather than 5 stars) I've put these on 2 newer model Leupold scopes. My next Leupold scope is going to get a set as well. As the name implies these are aluminum construction, unlike all the similar-looking plastic flip-up scope covers. Also a step above the rest: magnetic latching. They screw onto the ends of the compatible Leupold scopes, and once tightened, they can be oriented with the hinge at 12:00. Closing and releasing (opening) is positive, and something that comes to be a solely tactile, muscle memory action while raising the rifle- no looking, no fumbling. Also, they match the lines and finish of the scope perfectly, are nicely branded, and look great.

I have a couple of these grips- the only components that I've purchased from Daniel Defense. I like the looks and the ergonomics, I just wonder why they haven't included a removable storage lid on the bottom- other grips have this, which is a great place to stash a couple of rounds or CR123 batteries. This grip has a press-in flat lid with a garish DD logo on it ('comes off with steel wool), and is hollow, but not setup for storage. Maybe this feature is patented and licensed by the companies that offer it, such as Bravo Company.

This product is poorly designed. The adjustment screw (the black one, by the way- there are no instructions at all with this) faces the receiver rather than the muzzle, so the hand guard probably has to come off to adjust it. The other thing- for my low mass operating system build, the adjustment screw ended up so deep that the brass set screw actually threads across the end of the adjustment screw... ridiculous.

This scope makes a very good combination target and hunting scope. Nice bright optics, with a 4x range in a useful set of limits. The reticle is ideal, and parallax adjustment is helpful. I mounted it on my 6.5 Grendel, and it is a great match.

I used this kit on an Aero Precision upper, and the ejection port cover pin had the cut for the snap ring not cut in the right place- it required fitting (it had to be cut down to prevent interference with the hand guard). Also, the dust cover finish wasn't up to the same quality as the other parts from Aero Precision.

I have three of these mounts now, two 30 mm and this 1" version. I use these to move optics around on multiple flat-top ARs, which the design supports really well. The scope that's best for hunting isn't the one that's best for target-shooting, or plinking. I rated 4 rather than 5 because I haven't found a perfect return-to-zero on removal and reinstallation, which is perhaps too much to expect.
