Of course they come out with this FDE, cirlce dot, AAA battery sight a week after I order a different one. I couldn't resist. I had to have it too. For around 200 bucks, it is excellent. Clear reticle, nice finish, fair price. The FDE finish is just slightly different from the Cerakote on my upper and lower receivers, but so is that of my FDE grips and buttstock, magazine etc. At first I was put off by the turrets being exposed, after my other Romeo5 came with covers that could be flipped over to click adjust. It has grown on me though, and now I don't mind. My only other little issue, and not enough to lower to a 4 star rating, is that the included Torx bit did not fit into the threads of the screw on the adapter. At first I thought some of the FDE finish had gotten into the threads and made them smaller, but I had another older black Romeo5 sitting around from last year that also came with the same tools included, and that one tightened the screw onto my receiver just fine. So they sent my a slightly off-spec tightening tool. No big deal. I love how this looks on my MSR.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of this case! I already own a Condor Plate Carrier and mag pouches, but this bag is of a noticeable higher quality. I mean, all their stuff is decent for the price and not being made in America, but this bag is sweet. Very durable material, solidly built, and no visible imperfections. The zippers, velcro, and clips all close perfectly and solidly. I still have to figure out what to do with all the extra room in the pockets and second compartment! I will be buying another one at some point for my other MSR...

**IMPORTANT**Fist off, I must say that the front lens IS SUPPOSED to be off-axis, as it has to be hand-aligned for the reticle to work properly. This is a noob fact that I sadly had to learn. I have seen others complain about this as well, thinking that the front lens was "pushed in," in a damaged way. THAT BEING SAID, I still had issues with two of these models in a row. During the front lens alignment, it appears that small imperfections, chips, and scratches appeared along the front "seal" area of the lenses. They have to glue them after alignment, and I would expect some micro imperfections, as evidence of the work. However, I felt that there was more damage than necessary, and not only was it visually unappealing, but I could see imperfections in the field of view when looking through the back of the sight, along the edge of the sight picture. BOTH times. I have never returned anything online EVER before ANYWHERE. I am not a complainer, or super picky. I had wanted this sight for almost a year, after seeing the clarity of the circle dot reticle in a local gun store. 2 MOA dots appear as blurry "starbursts" to me, as I have learned that the astigmatism I have been diagnosed with since childhood causes that - another noob fact I had to learn, after reviewing a red dot sight for this reason :P
The first return experience was amazing, and a lovely customer service rep sent out a replacement product before even receiving the defective one that they let me send bac

I love Magpul and the quality of their products. This one looks great and feels great. I like the angle of the grip. I like the width. The cap on the bottom is extremely tight-fitting, so I doubt it will ever accidentally pop open. However, it does not fit perfectly on my new Aero Precision M4E1 lower receiver. I thought at first it would not slide on at all, but with some firm pushing, it did go on. The back part of the grip where both its contour and the contour of the receiver curve upwards to meet the buffer tube, there is some space. Not a ton, but enough to notice. I am leaving the grip on, because I otherwise love it. It also is just a tiny bit different in color than their FDC Cerakote that I have on the receivers and handgaurd...

It's just a mag release button, but it looks great, especially since I have their ambi safety selector switch with the same color and texture (FDE). Easy to switch out, well made, and sticks out just a little further than the mil spec one for easy feel and pressing.

This sight looks nice, is well-built, and attaches perfectly. I get a very clear view through it. The only reason it is not getting a perfect score is that the "dot" looks more like a small "blob," or "comma" Not a crisp, sharp "period." This was my first red dot sight purchase, so I am not an expert on them by any means. I looked through a similarly-priced and sized Holosun at my local gun shop to compare after receiving this site in the mail, and the Holosun's dot did seem to look more crisp and precise. I am keeping this sight because it is still very good for the price, and I would still recommend it.
