My rating is strictly for the quality control of Trijicon for this scope. I do love my other Trijicon scope, and I also believe Optics Planet made this super easy to return. Unfortunately, my scope arrived defective out of the box. The internals of the battery compartment fell out on my table as I was removing the cap to insert the battery for illumination. The glass was super clear; the scope is built like a tank; and Optics Planet’s price and return process was superb. My issue is with the fact that zero quality control could have been performed on the illumination prior to it leaving Trijicon. Otherwise the scope would have been immediately flagged defective. I ended up returning the 2.5-15 for the 2.5-10, and absolutely love the new one. The glass is so clear it is really all I need for my old eyes to hit 500yrd shots. I also prefer the 2.5-10 reticle design better than the 2.5-15. That is just a personal preference though. I would upload pics of the parts, but the review is not giving me that option.
The 2.5-10x56 Credo HX is the way to go if you are shooting 400 yards or less. The large objective lens allows for great light and field of view, while the lens quality is really good for the cost point. I like it better than my Vortex Viper HD 3-15x44 lenses and they are good! The scope is built like a brick house too. I have zero concerns with it getting messed up if it falls from a bench rest. Regarding the illumination… I am not a fan of it to begin with, but I knew what I was getting. I prefer the Leupold for edit or Vortex Viper dot design better, but that is my preference. Trijicon credo scopes illuminate portions of the reticle itself and it just gets to distracting. Especially if you have an astigmatism. At which point you have to adjust your diopter to make everything clear again. That said, it does work in low light situations, but is not really bright enough for full sunny days if you ever felt the need to use it on one.
I have several of these for my range bags. Every time that I bring one of these out, someone asks me about them and wants to know where I got them. They are not to big, and not to small. They are padded enough to keep your pistols fairly safe from most falls without the sleeve being huge. The ability to swap out patches for your different pistols is great too! I only wish they had a dedicated pocket for the mags, but I really cannot complain. These are well worth the money in my opinion.
Glad they had it in stock and at a great price. Most places are discontinuing it or just out of stock: installed perfectly on my Tikka T3x Hunter. Works perfectly!
For $6.00, it is hard to go wrong with these. Even if you decide to use them when mowing the lawn, they are still worth the money. They fit, even a larger head/face like mine. They offer clear enough vision, and are incredibly inexpensive. I would reccomend for the price.
