Not a good experiance

Written on Mar 23, 2022

1st it is to small and didn't clear my scope

2nd the bolt snapped with hardly any torque on it.

It wasn't even stable yet and the bolt snapped easy.

I clearly wouldn't buy again. Never heard of GG&G, but I don't intend to buy anything from them again.

Crush Washers not ALLOWED

Written on Mar 20, 2019

I love precision armaments AFAB, I wish it came with a lock nut like others at this price do, but the brain trust at precision armament wanted to make washers. . . 1st of all, if they came on a ring in order, it would be a start, but its just a baggie full of 20 some washer with tiny marks on them. I'm old with bad eyes, I had to hire a grandkid for 20 bucks to put these things in order for me. 2nd of all, why couldn't they make em a color that matches barrels or the afab? no we will just throw this grey we have laying around on it, perfect. Had to recommend em because they do work, you will not get the right one the first time, no matter how many times you read the directions.

For the money, better out there

Written on Mar 20, 2019

I'm just not impressed with this charging handle. It doesn't glide well in the raceway, the blue is gone off of every sharp edge after just one hour at the range. It just doesn't feel right, can't pin it down, but milspec ones feel better to me than this one.

Handy extra parts kit

Written on Mar 20, 2019

I'm not the best at putting in detent springs, I'm always dropping stuff on the shop floor and not being able to find it. I bought this as a back up to have what I need in the box at any given time, first time i needed it, not mag release spring. . . . Essentially it was missing the essential part i needed the first time I needed it. That's why I didn't give it 4 stars.

Love these mounts

Written on Mar 20, 2019

I love these mounts, solid as I ever need and I have fun with the colors that they come in. Not the cheapest option out there but well worth the couple extra bucks. You won't be upset with this on top of any gun.

Handy for your bag

Written on Mar 20, 2019

This makes for a good emergency tool, it is for sure not built for everyday use and its a lot wider than it looks in the pictures, so be aware its not a good too for adjusting a gas block or anything that is tight to another part.

For the price.....

Written on Mar 20, 2019

This is a good recoil captured spring for sure. It's not as silky smooth as my JP's but it's nicer than most the flatwires I have used. I dislike the springy sound that a normal buffer makes, so for me this is a nice in between that and the JP for cheaper builds.

Really like this hybrid muzzle brake

Written on Feb 25, 2019

Its not a perfect brake, but it for sure cuts down recoil for those quick 2nd shots. Unlike other devices i've tried, the concussion and smoke in your face isn't there. The washers make it more expensive, but they do work.

Why no switch to turn it off?

Written on Feb 06, 2019

Works great, gets you on the paper the first time out. You still have to shoot a couple groups when you get to the range, but the "where did it go" shots are no longer. My only beef is, you have to unscrew the back and take out the batteries to turn it off. I don't know about you guys, but finding hearing aid sized batteries is not my strong suit. 99% sure the next time I go to use it, it will require a trip to the store for batteries.

Not Cheap, but Built Well

Written on Feb 06, 2019

I decided to get fancy and buy an aluminum lever instead of the readily available 3d printed plastic ones that seem to be everywhere these days. The warne is for sure a great product and it is very well built. I can't say anything bad about it at all. Yeah you can get two printed plastice ones for the same price, but I'm guess you'll never need to buy a second one of these.
