I was skeptical about ear plug vs muffs. But when shooting rifle in sitting position in hot summer, muff is both hot and obstructive. So I gave these ear plugs a try. It works wonderfully! I don’t even feel it. With one guy shooting 6.5 creedmore with noisy brake just beside me, I was not bothered at all despite the gas in my face…
I adapted my Savage ultralite 308win to Bodys stock with AICS bottom metal from Pacific tool and gauge. The height at which cartridges sit is roughly the same as regular AICS magazine on bob sled. This is a bit too low since cartridges are not clipped in place as with regular AICS magazine. With this sled, the height is just fine! I am so happy with this setting now.
I don't want to wait for other colors. So I ordered black one. It fits easily and snugly. Though it looks similar as Savage tactical bold handle, it feels much better than the heavy steel version from Savage.
In the last Q&A of Oct.2021, the expert stated that the mount will come with 8-40 screw. However, the mount I got still has 6-48 screws only. EGW claims that all the mount manufacturered after Dec.2020 will come with both 6-48 and 8-40 screws. I don't know if the one I got is an old stock or returned merchandise. It's so tiring waiting for a week for it to arrive, then have to return, and hopefully OP has new stock for replacement.
Purchased it to fit my scope on ruger american factory rails. As soon as I tighten the clamp. I found that it didn't fit the rail well.So I dared not use more force. The other day, I finally hit the range. The range master was trying to help. The leg got broken at the time when he tried to tighten the screw a little bit. Neither of us could believe the quality and the fit of these "weaver" name bearing rings...I have to turn to the expensive Leupold rings later, which matched the rail perfectly . This proofs that these rings do have the fitting problems.
Bought it about 3 weeks ago. I still haven't had the chance to hit down the range. But on opening the box, the scope is well done. The field is clear and bright at 8x, it's also fine at 32x. For such a price, BSA has done a good job!
Steady and versatile bipod! Love it!Put on my ruger and hit the range. Steady and comparable to sand bags.
Typically the quick retract button looks cool,so far haven't seen the advantage. The conversion stage can serve as an additional rail when not attached with the bipod.
