this might sound stupid,because it says svibel stud mount ,would that be for a sling ? Expert Answer

No, it's a reference to a standardized sling attachment point that various model firearms have incorporated into their designs, which allows you to attach the bipod to that point that a sling would originally go.

I bought this primarily for use on AR rifles. The quick detach mount makes it easy to switch from rifle to rifle. This is made very well and is very sturdy and the legs adjust quickly.
