A new standard for me

Since I’ve had such a positive experience with this BCG, I now start all my builds with one. So far, none have failed me and all of them have been the perfect pair with any type buffer system I use. That includes 556/223 and 300AAC. I do use other brands and models for competitive builds or FRT builds, but for a standard AR15, you can’t go wrong with this BCG IMO.

Dead Air Silencers KeyMount Flash Hider
Running a Dead Air Sandman can on my 10.5” 300 blackout SBR with the Keymo muzzle brake and it is phenomenal. So, when I decided to put together another 10.5” 300 BO SBR, I definitely wanted it to be Keymo so I can move my suppressor between the 2 rifles. Because this rifle is more of a budget build, decided to save a few bucks and just go with this flash hider instead of a muzzle brake and again, Dead Air does not disappoint! Very good quality component, installed effortlessly, looks great and eliminates flash very effectively! Paired with my Sandman can and it performs just as well as my other SBR! Definitely happy with my purchase!
much better than a BAD lever

I’ve been using the Magpul BAD lever, but the way it attaches to the bolt catch is kind of loose and does not feel reliable or solid. I had one of these Phase 5 versions on a different rifle so I knew this was the answer to my complaints. The fact that it attaches to your lower by replacing your stock, bolt catch, makes it a more reliable and more solid feature. Yeah, the price is a bit much for what it is, but it’s worth it.

DFCO Kung Fu Grip, Black
Definitely take some getting used to having this type of grip angle, but I’m slowly growing to like it on my SBR. My only gripe is the plug. It does not seem to want to stay in the grip very well. I don’t understand why it keeps coming out. It’s very tight fit, you have to pry it out with your fingers, but as soon as I start shooting, it just gets loose and falls out. I almost lost it at the range the other day. The problem is, if you have big hands, the grip plug is in necessity. So I think I might just find a way to glue it in place. Kind of sucks, but it is what it is. Still not sure if I’m going to keep this on my rifle

I was looking for a good quality, LPVO that did not break the bank, and I wanted a brand that I trusted. After doing some research, this is what I landed on, and I could not be happier. Everything installed with ease, all the torque specs are written clearly on the parts, and after spending a couple sessions at the range with it, it does exactly what I needed it to do! Probably could’ve done without the red dot, but it is a nice addition if I decide to use it.

Strike Industries Billet Ultimate Dust Cover
I almost did not buy this because of the reviews saying that it would not stay closed. But I took a chance anyway, because I wanted the silver color to match my build. Initially, I had installed this on a cheap PSA upper, and it would stay closed, but popped open rather easily. When I took a look, it wasn’t the dust cover that was the problem, it was the cheap upper. Luckily I had a nice aero precision upper that I had not used yet, so I swapped my uppers and installed this dust cover on the aero precision upper and it snaps closed nice and tight. In summary, if you’re planning on using this on a cheap upper, probably won’t do the trick, try it on something of good quality!

Not gonna lie, I mostly bought this because of the name. I grew up in the Bayou, so when I see the word swamp, it reminds me of home. Makes me wanna eat crawfish and go hunt alligators. But you didn’t come here to hear about me, you’re here to hear what my thoughts are about the quality of this product… Right? Am I in the wrong place? Hmmm. Well, it’s goooood, I likey, dot green, fits my rifle. Momma said imma big boy now. Red dots are for losers. Laissez les bons temps rouler! That’s Cajun for gun go boom.
