Recent change to the Holosun lineup of optics features the use of Child-Safety features for the battery cap.
i.e. the can has a plastic ring on the outer edge of the cap that spins freely, meaning you cannot replace the battery without use of a tool.

The concept of a child-safe battery cap on the optic of a FIREARM is absurd. If you are concerned about an unsupervised child getting into the battery of your red dot, then many other failures led to that point and the battery should probably be the least concern.
This may have been a quick-fix to appeal to legal pressure, but it removed one of the key features I was looking for in this optic.
Namely being able to swap the battery tooless. Thus, I returned the one I ordered.

The rest of the red dot is the same, and thus quite good.
But the cap thing is very upsetting.
Search out an older model year if you are interested in this. Or maybe see if you can source an old cap first.

I've picked up a few of these now, and honestly is becoming my go-to for a nice short hand stop and vert grip.
Installs solid, good texture, short enough to not get int the way, lightweight.

Does everything I need with very few if any notable detriments.

The basic Magpul MOE grip is still probably one of my favorite grips, but the K2 provides a really nice alternative in situations where having a more upright/vertical grip would be more comfortable.
If my AR doesn't have a standard MOE, good chance it has this.

I've been getting UTG products for some time now, and I recall back when they were "cheap junk".
Well, recent years have changed that in a HUGE WAY.
More and more UTG products have been impressing me with both their price and QUALITY.
I bought a pair of these risers, and I have to say the solid feel and smooth finish on these seem on-par with far more expensive products.

They mount up solid, seem nice and level, and are largely free of sharp corners or edges I'd usually expect.
I don't generally need risers, save for this one project I'm currently working on.
But if I ever need more, I'd buy more UTG Pro ones for sure.

Honestly this was a great option for my ammo assortment. Using 5.56, 9mm, and a couple others, this is a nice option for storing all my ammo types in a handy tray that can be easily moved.
Really like this option.

I actually REALLY like this option for sling mounting. Best used with the Magpul mount, of course, but paired this with a Blue Force stock adapter loop and works great. Having a quick detachable sling that also has a locking feature is excellent, and I prefer this to standard QD button mounts.

Might be trying to switch over to more of these.

A perfectly functional buffer with some very nice upgrades. I appreciate the beveled cuts, and the notch for the buffer detent built in. The only con I found was the internal surface finish tends to be more "grindy" than some of the other buffers I have. Not a deal breaker at all, as it doesn't effect function in any noticeable way. But a bit more smooth polish would make the feel when charging the rifle nicer. Might wear in over time too, so likely will "fix" itself with use. Again, definitely nothing serious.

Suffice to say this is the grip I go for by default. Probably installed one of these on 4-5 different builds so far.

Fits the hand well, durable, simple, personally I like the angle.

If you want a more vertical grip, consider the K2 grip from Magpul instead, as the MOE still has a notable angle to the grip, which I happen to like.

All in all, hard to go wrong with this if you are looking for something simple, comfortable, and just works.

I bought this stock because I've been putting together a very space-age/sci-fi inspired build and aesthetically this thumbhole design fits the bill.
Looks very sci-fi and is actually built quite well.
I was however dubious about a couple design choices, and unfortunately once i got this stock in hand they turned out to be real problems.

A) The pistol grip is NOT ergonomic. Despite the advertisement material, I could not for the life of me find a hand position with the pistol grip that was comfortable. The finger grooves force a very low grip and left my hand feeling barely in control of the gun. By trying to choke my hand up on the grip, it ends up too high and also all over the finger grooves in the wrong places. It's just bad. Please take a pointer from Magpul in this regard. Super stylized. fingergroove grips rarely turn out well.

B) The buttpad does not have enough surface area. In order to shoulder this, you have VERY limited range and there is a good chance it is not where you need. That, plus the slight angle to the pad had this slipping up and over my shoulder trying to get my head position. A bit more surface area would have gone a long way. Not sure why they felt the need to make it so darn small.

Honestly, aside from those two very serious issues I really liked the stock and I would have wanted to use it. But function must come first.
The design does lend itself to swapping out the grip later IF Hera decided to offer different grips in the future. Currently,

Going for a real "space gun" feel, and this handguard nails it.
The QD attachment is very handy and very solid. Shape of the handguard sits well in the hand, overall just really happy with this handguard.

If I get around to more AR builds, I might get another in a different length.

Not a super lightweight handguard, but it's not trying to be. I think it has a good weight for the size.
