Shoot a lot of mixed use and this is amazing
Written on Sep 15, 2024
I don't leave a lot of reviews. I have a ride or die rifle that I'd trust my life with. But when I run suppressed the gas was a lot. Not wanting to change anything about the gun I dropped this in. What a dream setup. A few rounds later its dialed in. Flipping between polite and noisy has never been this nice. The gas in both configurations is sizably reduced and the BCG is far cleaner then before. After 30 rounds polite the BCG looked clean. I was surprised.

Nothing better for the money
Written on Sep 14, 2024
This barrel is 1/2 moa accurate. Out the 18 inch touching longer range is a dream. I am hooked on Criterion. If you talk to the folks there, they are laser focused on making the best barrels on the market. I didnt realize they made them for others too. They're in such demand and so good, I am picking up another to have just because. Well prices go up and I like to shoot. Buy with confidence. Cannot say enough good things about them. People dont know what I'm shooting but they look at my gun and my stacking holes and wonder... enjoy!

Review for
Geissele Super Semi-Automatic AR Trigger
Put off buying one of these because the price had always made me pause. Bite the bullet and cannot look back. All my guns have a geissele trigger in them. Everything stated about this trigger is true, its smooth, refined, break clean, no over travel and a nice reset.
They make a version called the 2 stage which is less money and I cannot tell the difference. They state is the same line, slightly different QC process. This one looks cooler and is easier to install. Might be worth the difference to you.
The retainer pins of others always caused a problem, no problem here.
Also this comes with a life time warranty. Enjoy!

Light primer strikes
Written on Nov 22, 2023
Reviewed well, and installed fast. My first 100 rounds were fine and then I started getting random light primer strikes. If I re-ran the ammo no problem. I thought a bad batch of primers from a lot I bought, but expereinced this across the 3 different brands I run. This gun has never had a single problem until I dropped in this trigger. Until today I would have bet my life on this gun, no joke, this AR10 fired every round no matter what and hit its target. We are talking well over 10k rounds through this platform and not a single failure until today.
I cleaned, and I lubed. It appeared when I cycled the weapon by hand it would fire. It started at say 1 in 30 rounds and then quickly within a session to 1 in 7 or 10 that wouldn't fire.
Swapped out my mil spec trigger. Gun fired like a champ. I dropped in a geissele trigger and dropped 100 rounds in a session of 308 without an issue. I just ordered another from optics to swap into this gun.
This might strike hard enough for 556 but at this point even my gun shop says to avoid rise armament. Apparently they're known to be really iffy and the words used to describe this by folks who know better weren't flattering. Last thing I want is a gun that doesn't fire. Don't waste your money or worse risk your life to a faulty product like this. Spend the extra money or stay mil spec. Its honestly not worth it. I had 2 bad range days, hardly worth the $100 'saved' and failure within 300 rounds is completely unacceptable.
