It's a great brace, I have a few, never had any issues for years. It's the lightest SB Tactical AR brace. Lighter braces exist but are hard molded and thin, and therefore less comfortable. It's not perfect, the bottom WILL bend and flex with a lot of pressure into it, but you can do a few things to mitigate this, such as staging a sling by wrapping it through the flaps. Length of pull on a carbine tube is good for me at 6 feet, but is maybe one position shorter than perfect. These work fine on an A5 length tube if you really need more LOP, but will not collapse fully flush.
Great little barrel, the description doesn't mention it but I assure you the barrel has a nice 5 groove (5R) rifling down it. I used a KAK gas tube, KAK micro pistol buffer and tube (3 oz), a milspec BCG, and Superlative Arms adjustable gas block, set to full gas (there is still a small amount of forward bleed-off on full open gas, click 18 and 19.) Breek Arms 2 port threaded brake on the muzzle. Really didn't know what to expect when I loaded up the cheap Winchester white box 200 gr OTM subsonics, but it gently cycled all 20 of them and locked open the bolt. Loaded up 20 supersonic 125 gr cartridges, backed the gas out 10 clicks to bleed off more, and had perfect function there as well. Sometimes a build just comes right together, and this was the case for me with this setup.
Feeds better in my 10/22 and AR than CCI standard lead. These are certainly supersonic from a 16 inch barrel. To be completely honest I can’t recall any recent .22LR from Aguila or CCI not going bang, so good reliability on these.
Nothing wrong with this PRI upper; it's a quality forged receiver and rather than white laser-etched T-marks shown in the picture, mine actually had colorless engraved ones, which I prefer. The pin tolerances for these uppers are mil-spec, and tolerance stacking between an upper and a lower can lead to a setup which might feel more loose than desired, as was seemingly the issue with one reviewer. If you're looking for a flawless lockup between receivers with zero wiggle, I would suggest an upper which has been specifically designed with tighter pin hole tolerances. As for anyone else, this upper is well made, by a company with a proven track record.
