This Selector Deserves 10 Stars! It's every bit as good as the top-brand selectors maybe even better

Written on Jul 18, 2026

This AR-15 safety selector is as smooth as they come. The fit and finish are outstanding, and the quality looks far more expensive than it is. Best of all, the selector flips up and down effortlessly, making it a pleasure to use.

Dimple Your Barrels! This Makes It Easy!

Written on Jul 18, 2026

This jig works well to make a much-needed dimple in your barrels. It makes the process of installing a set-screw gas block foolproof by ensuring the dimples are perfectly aligned, which gives me peace of mind knowing the gas block isn't going to shift or come loose under heavy use. The material is durable, holds up well to drilling, and saves a significant amount of time and frustration compared to measuring manually. Highly recommended for any DIY builder.

Don't Buy This Handguard — The Barrel Nut Will Not Go On Without a Fight!

Written on Jun 17, 2026

I have the 2021 version, which came with the mil-spec barrel nut, and it fit and timed easily. This 2026 barrel nut, however, will not engage the barrel shoulder with fewer than six shims.

For this handguard, the barrel nut requires nine shims, and you will have to over-torque it to 65 ft-lbs to achieve proper timing. Alternatively, you can use seven shims and under-torque it to 20 ft-lbs. No combination of shims will allow the barrel nut to time correctly within the manufacturer's recommended torque range of 30–50 ft-lbs for this aluminum barrel nut.

You can try getting help through Strike Industries' Blame The Customer System, but in my experience, any failure or defective part is blamed on the customer, either for breaking it or installing it incorrectly. You will not get any support from Strike Industries.

Will Not Fit Most Upper Receivers

Very poor design. I attempted to install it on four different receivers, but none were successful.

Looks Good!! Works Great Too!

Function is most important. Nailed It! Looks are important. Nailed It! With easy installation and low cost, you can keep several versions to switch up your look."
