This mount is solid, with five cross bolts and three integral recoil lugs. It’s also lightweight at just under 6 oz. It would work great with an LPVO or optic with an objective lens less than about 50mm. However, there is no option for a mount with some cant for long range work, and while the 1.4” height above the rail technically would work for an optic with a 56mm objective lens, there wasn’t enough room for the lens caps I wanted to use. Overall, this is a well built mount at a great price and would work great for most applications.

Great sight, subpar hardware

This sight was easy to mount, looks great, and was centered nicely on the rail. However, the cross bolt is apparently made of very cheap material and is tightened using a flathead screwdriver bit. Despite using a large flathead bit and the recommended torque (35 in-lb), the drive of the cross bolt started to strip far before the spec torque was reached. I love Midwest Industries, but this was uncharacteristic and disappointing for their stuff. It seems like using hex or torx drive for the cross bolt and some stouter material would prevent this. Still happy with the sight, but moving it to a different rifle could cause problems.
