does not include crush washer.

Written on Jan 27, 2019

this review may be a bit premature, as I am still discussing this issue with opticsplanet, but mine did not come with a crush waster. Perhaps it is a mistake, perhaps not. Nobody can say for sure at this point.

The flash hider seems well made and has a nice finish to it. It appears to be nitride rather than parked. So if you have a spare crush washer, this is a great hider. If you don't, you risk ordering all your parts, being short a washer, and looking at paying 2-3x the price of a washer just in shipping to order one.....

Nice glass, cost cutting corners, turret adjustments suck.

Written on Nov 13, 2018

The good: nobody does small size like Leupold. It is short, trim and light. If you have a need or desire for a small scope, Leupold has got you covered. And the glass is pretty good. There's a lot better glass out there, but this is ok.

The bad: the turret adjustments. Oh they're so bad. Mushy, vague, just blegh. When I start adjusting I'm always wondering "was that a click? Was that pretravel? I don't know!"

The cost cutting: 1) plastic turret caps. Sure they work, and it's not big deal, but it is cheap.2) no lens covers. Where did the nice rubber lens cover Leupold used to include go? Same place Burris hid theirs I guess. Cheapskates. Couldn't have cost them a dollar to make it....... 3) I just called Leupold and was told I was #46 in line to talk to somebody.

Summary: $150 scope glass with $70 scope turrets in a nice form factor with a Leupold markup being sold for $200. If you don't need the small package, I'd buy something else.
