Good Light, Needs Improvements.

Written on Jan 21, 2018

This is a really good light in terms of quality and construction. The mount is solid and the pressure switch is a really nice feature.
The pressure pad has two buttons, one has a push button to keep it on and another is a pad which stays on as long as your finger is on it. It comes with a fairly decent size cord which was pretty durable and bendable. I mounted my light on the right side of my M-Lok free float handguard. The front of the light was mounted about 2" behind the tip of my 16" barrel and the pressure pad was put on the top the hand guard towards the back. I just tucked in excess into the M-Lok slots with separation from the barrel. It looks very clean. The pad also has 3M glue on the bottom which secures to the rifle quite well.
The light output is concentrated and makes a rough circle, not a dispersion of light. It is very bright at 900 lumens and the strobe is also 900 lumens and is blinding. The battery life is not great with 1.5 hours on full. This could be better.
The flashlight comes out of the mount and can be used as a regular flashlight which is a really nice feature.

MAJOR CONS:
- The flashlight does not have a memory mode. You must cycle through ever setting to pick the one you want to remain on. There are only three settings, high, stobe, and low but this can be annoying.
- It DOES NOT include a tightening tool. You will need a TORX key. This is required to tighten the flashlight to the mount. For the price, it should be included.
- The pressure

Awesome Upgrade!

Written on Jan 21, 2018

Thus hand stop is a pretty affordable and nice upgrade. The installation is pretty simple if you have installed M-Lok accessories before. If not, the instructions are easy to understand. It is modular as in you can space the front and back stop however you want or you can use the provided mount. I used the mount and it fits my big hands pretty well.
The middle piece between the stops is the same as the Magpul M-Lok Rails Covers. It also comes with and extra rail cover which is nice.
The screws come with lock tight which makes it very secure.

Solid and Secure!

Written on Jan 21, 2018

Magpul M-Lok rail sections are solid and secure. They do not wiggle or move around. The bolts come with lock-tight which is a really good feature.
The installation isn't very difficult but if you have not used M-lok accessories before it only takes a couple of minutes to figure out. The instructions are super easy to understand.
Definitely worth the money on these ones.

Beauty Stock!

Written on Jan 21, 2018

Magpul stocks are some of the best in the industry. I love them! The CTR is an amazing stock with a great price and unbelievable quality. Good for any mil-spec AR-15.
There is no rattling or cheap plastic feel. The quality is outstanding and the fit is solid. It locks in place for more accurate shooting. The surface is wider and more flat which better accommodates the cheek as opposed to rounded off stocky.

Awesome Rail Cover!

Written on Jan 21, 2018

Very durable and well constructed. Not cheap flimsy plastic by any means. Magpul parts are usually of amazing quality.
Easy to install and uninstall. You can put them on and take them off as much as you want with a pick type tool and they do not break or loosen.
Just a heads up, these ARE NOT gel covers. They are hard plastic with really nice stippling. It is really good for grip on your rifle.

Great Value and Quality!

This gun sock is pretty well made and the price point is very good. I probably couldn't even sew one together for the same price. It is really long though. A 30" barrel skeet shotgun gets completely covered. The tie at the end is a good feature as well. 52" is very long, keep that in mind. If your rifle is much shorter, a smaller size may be better.

Best Value AR Magazine!

Written on Jan 10, 2018

Magpul Pmag quality is one of the best in my opinion. The price point is great and these things can take a beating. Very easy to load with minimal effort. The 10 round one comes with a dust cover in case you are in the woods. It is very secure.

Comparable to Much More Expensive Bipods!

Written on Jan 10, 2018

This bipod is very impressive. I am totally satisfied with the price point and quality. It is on par to more expensive bipods such as the Harris one that is $70.00-$90.00.
It is an all metal build with very secure rail system. I put it on an AR15 and there is no wiggle with this thing. It folds up well and does not interfere. The factory picatinny is metal and would work with a swivel stud, it also has padding so your rifle does not scratch. Again, the quality is really good. I will not be wasting money on more expensive bipods again.

Works Great!

Written on Jan 10, 2018

I find that this stuff works better than my regular CLP when it comes to cleaning out carbon. I usually clean out my rifle with a wet wipe or baby wipe, let it dry, and then go over it with Hoppe's Gun Cleaner. It passes the q-tip test almost every time. A good 30 minute clean after 200-300 rounds leaves the rifle spotless. It's a great cleaner but I'm not sure about lube. I usually use CLP at the end to lube, not sure if it's necessary though.

-Tip: Spray some into the cap so you don't waste it and then use a q-tip in to get into the hard to get areas. A little goes a long way.

**Results vary on how good you are at cleaning.

Buy With Confidence!

Written on Jan 10, 2018

I own five of these cases in tan. They are absolutely the best bang for your buck. They look great and work great, not cheap stuff. The oldest one I have is about two-three years old and has been drug through the dirt and through the bush. No tears or issues with zippers or pockets yet.
I inserted foam padding because I had some extra laying around and it still carries a lot!
It easily carries an M&P15 & AK47, 5 mags, 2 muffs, cleaning kit, locks, 2 pistols, and random bits and pieces.
Another example is a side by side and a 30" pump action. The barrel has to be broken down. Gun Sock recommended.
