Works but tool marks are bad
Written on May 31, 2021
This buffer tube fits a niche having anti tilt lips for the bolt carrier and being 308/A5 sized. It seems to work fine but machining marks outside are ugly and inside cause more chatter from the buffer spring.

Decent stock at affordable price
Written on Jul 24, 2018
The main reason I got this stock was to shorten my length of pull on my Remington 1100 tactical. While it did that and feels solid, it is not without its downsides. The recoil system on the Rem 1100 shotgun has a large spring mechanism that goes into the stock. This is too large to fit through the supplied sling hook that slips into the middle of the stock. It leaves a kind of ugly slot and a place to let dust in.

Best Dollar for Dollar Scope
Written on Jul 14, 2018
This scope has a first focal plane, fine reticle for accurate hold over and wind corrections, exposed turrets with zero stop, and illumination. When combined with 110 moa of elevation and a 20 moa mount, its easy to get a 308 on target at 1000 yards. The glass is clear and the colors are bright, however there is some minor chromatic distortion at the edges on higher magnification. This can be corrected by slightly shifting your cheek weld making the corner needed in focus for the shot. At 1/3 of the price of a NF, or 1/2 the price of a Vortex Razor Gen II this thing is a great value. I have no problem keeping up with the big dogs at the 1000 yard shoots with a setup that cost less than some of their optics alone.

Lightweight vertical foregrip
Written on Apr 01, 2018
This vertical foregrip is great if you use the thumb over bore grip. With the slight angle set forward, it gives you a solid grip to apply rearward force. I have this on my AR-10 and it has helped me in my transitions between targets.

Solid rail but expensive
Written on Feb 14, 2018
Review for
Kinetic Development Group Modular Receiver Extension, Compatible w/ all 7.62 & 5.56 SCAR Model
This rail offers you a solid option to put a flashlight or dbal on the top front of your rifle without obscuring your vision. However, it does add 1/4 lb up front making the rifle much slower to swing. It is also pretty expensive at about $250-300.
