Use this lens all over the world. Moderate telephoto is very useful. Images sharp and tolerate editing well. It's much lighter than the f/2.8 and this factor means my wife will carry it as well as me. Buy the L lens. I have many L lenses and they are far superior to the standard USM.

I had hoped to replace my 6P LED with this light. When you hit instant on, it gives you alternating bright and dimmer settings. You can't set it to just give bright instant on, so while it's the usual superbly made Surefire, it's not worthwhile as a defense flashlight unless you want to cycle thru the dimmer setting. I didn't ask before I bought--just be aware of that.
The triangular base adjusts instantly to give you a level platform. Once locked, it's almost like a bench rest. Great for distance shots on game. Well made and sturdy. I had a monopod previously thinking it would be faster and "good enough" but now I use this.
CDS dial on my 7mm-08 with illuminated firedot reticle. Tight groups at 400 yds (salad plate size). The turret is fast--got a deer at ranged 240 yards with POI within an inch of POA. No more counting clicks up from 100 yds. Great marginal light capability. At 18 power I can see center of target at 500 yds easily. I got this from Leupold to replace a defective VX scope I sent them. They asked me which I scope I wanted under my lifetime warranty and sent it to me. There really is a lifetime warranty on Leupold scopes. I have several and wouldn't mess with any other brand.Beware of some of the cheap Chinese fakes. If it's REALLY cheap, it's probably a fake.
I replaced a junker red dot on my backup AR15.I thought it was worth a chance at $350 and I was right. I did the low mount vortex rings and the scope mounts on the rifle beautifully. Very solid. The glass is clear with an adjustable eyepiece just like the more expensive Razors. I usually use a 1-4x24 Trijicon I've had for years that is on my primary AR. It's great to have the 6 power for precision shooting. The reticle is quite "busy" with circles, hashmarks, etc. but I got used to it pretty quickly. This scope is better than I am and that's all I ask. I think it's a great buy. I have not yet tried the scope at 1x with tactical.
fits perfectly and stays in place well. can be reversed to L side if you're a southpaw. I have always used 2 pt slings till now. easy to install. just get out your deep metric 13 mm socket. Good instructions. GG&G is always good stuff even though expensive
