I thought I could use this part to mount a Leopold DPP RedDot onto my S&W 1911 TA . Big mistake first thing the screws weren’t anything like the supplied screws from Leopold, the head design was wrong, and they had a different thread to the Leopold screws, so after retapping thru the supplied holes and using stainless Heilacoils the job is now done correctly to fit the supplied Leopold screws, but upon installation on the pistol the mount makes my beautiful RedDot sight sit WAY to high.. basically in the trash, gonna get the slide milled professionally, could have used the $45 bucks toward this job..
