I've been comparing a few different binoculars ranging in price from $99 to $500 to find one that works best for me. For the price, this pair seems really solid. Unlike the slightly more expensive Crossfires, the eyecups on these click into place and don't collapse when they are extended. They also just felt a little tougher with better grip. The optical quality was decent, and very close to the Crossfires, to the point that it was hard to tell much difference. I ended up going with the Diamondbacks, but will keep these as a backup pair, or to give to a friend.
I've been trying out a number of different models of binoculars over the last couple weeks. For the price, these are an excellent option. They feel solid, function smoothly and have good optical quality. The biggest difference I can see between these and the more expensive Vipers is that the Vipers have a wider FOV and slightly better clarity and color. The only drawback for me is that i have wideset eyes and these don't open up quite as wide as i need. That's not really a fault, just something to keep in mind if your IPD is greater than 73mm.
