Hogue overmolded rifle stock

Written on Mar 25, 2025

I have been using the Hogue overmolded rifle stocks for years and have not had any issues with them on every rifle action I have bedded in them, they are tough and rigid, I like the non slip grip of the rubber overmolding even when hunting in the rain they don't slip in my hands...no glare from the sun and easy to bed. I use Devcon
10110 for bedding all my rifles and my friends rifles. These are not benchrest target stocks, just good solid hunting rifle stocks. They are a little heavy compared to other stocks made with different materials but I like them just fine.

Trijicon Tenmile 5-50x56

Written on Mar 25, 2025

This is a 50 power rifle scope that I fully intended to put on a 6.5 x 280 improved rifle for long range shooting targets and prairie dogs. This scope is a major disappointment anything above 30 power is not very clear. I read a lot of reviews on this scope before buying....only one person had a bad thing to say about this scope....I should have listened to that one person and stayed with Nightforce ATACR 7-35. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO SHOOT LONG RANGE STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCOPE !

Athlon Cronus Spotter

Written on Mar 25, 2025

I have several Spotting scopes...Bushnell, Tasco, Vortex Razor, Meopta and the Athlon Cronus Gen II 20-60 X 86.
The Athlon is a good spotter, real smooth adjustments, super clear with edge to edge clarity... they are almost as good as the Vortex Razors, no where as good as the Meopta's but they didn't cost nearly as much as either of those. I haven't had the opportunity to use them any farther than my 500 yard target range but they are sufficient for that.... just not quite as good as the Vortex Razor's...(Can't see a .30 bullet hole at 500 yards)
Really smooth focus and clear glass. Overall a great spotter....worth the price paid, if I had not compared it to the Vortex and Meopta I would have been very satisfied with it

GPO Passion HD 10X50

Written on Mar 25, 2025

I have several pair of binoculars...Maven, Tract, Nikon, Athlon Midas, Vortex Razor, Bushnell and GPO.
I do a lot of hunting in Missouri and long range prairie dog shooting in Wyoming. Comparing these GPO Passion HD to everything else I've used ...the clarity is very good adjustments are precise, overall these are some fine binoculars, the only issue I have with them is when compared to others I have there is a bit of "tunnel vision",
not really a deal breaker but it is noticeable.
