It wasn't quite clear how far the scope would actually calculate a solution for and was reading that it was shorter than what the round is capable of. Reaching out to Burris Customer Service, I was wondering what my maximum ballistic calculation is for my 300 PRC using 225 ELD. I was told by Burris it will only calculate out to 850-900 yards. Not sure what the point of ranging out so far is if it won't support a platform capable of using that distance. I've asked if I can somehow compensate for different rail elevations and am waiting to hear back. I was told to find a normal scope if I wanted to shoot beyond that range.

Well, I know how to install a trigger, so I did so, and it would have issues every now and then, and then when I went to swap it out, I realized it never came with the spacers that are in the instructions. I read someone else's review and apparently, they had bad quality assurance and left them out of other peoples' orders as well. It installs and works, but I did notice it was a bit finicky. My fault for not opening the directions or their fault for not giving me all the pieces? I'm going to throw the blame on them, it should have had all the pieces! If they make right on this, then I'll update the review.

Weighs the same as my steel castle nut that is almost identical. All my other Aluminum parts weigh nothing compared to this, so if it is as described, it should weigh much less. Feels like steel and surprised they'd ship something that's starting to show signs of rust in the bag.

Got this on sale for about $150 with the sale and discounts. I got the flat version. Pretty awesome upgrade for the price. Stock trigger blade is kind of annoying, although you can get used to it, but this was a welcome upgrade. I like my triggers light, so this is perfect. You're not just paying for the performance, but also the support should it become defective or have an issue, something that's easy to forget about when making a purchase. I see someone else on here got a trigger with lots of over-travel, not on mine... I've had my share of defective products, but as long as I was patient and was willing to send it in for a replacement, the companies not only fixed or replaced it, but they threw in free items or made it worth my while. Optics Planet usually has wait times and are pre-orders that don't show unless you click on the availability button, which used to be a little aggravating, but I'm used to it now and don't mind waiting. I do always call or chat with them to verify that, set up how and when to ship anything that isn't in stock, and they always are willing to make an even better deal. So for that, I will keep coming back, even if I have to wait a little bit.

I purchased the 7.5 Triangle version, and unfortunately had to return it. However, first and foremost, it is a great sight, just unusable for myself. One thing I see left out of many reviews, is that if you have Astigmatism, and all other red dots look great, this one will still probably look like multiple blurry triangles (7.5mm Triangle version). Other sights I have are pretty clear, but this one for some reason is pretty distorted for myself. Could you use it to get on target? Sure, just don't plan on using the triangle for accuracy. Even sent it in to Leupold to verify it wasn't defective, they were great to work with and didn't sweat it. The features are really good, and of course the mounting options are a little lacking, they're out there if you look hard enough, or can do a little bit of work yourself, so I still give it a 5 star rating. The smaller dot version, is actually tolerable, so the next time I need a red dot, I will still probably reach out for the 2.5 MOA version as the dot is a bit clearer for me.

I have about 5 different brands of triggers, all different brands. For the sale OP had on this, there was nothing out there that could beat it for the price, period. Lowered just under 3 lbs, it's consistent and no creep, extremely clean break. If you crank it down too far, it messes with the reset, just FYI. I've had about 3 of these now, and it's what I use to set the standard. I bought the wrong one at one point in time, actually my fault, and not only did they replace it with the right one for me, they gave me an anti-walk pin set on top off it, so the customer service is exactly how you want to be treated.

People complain in reviews that you can get better glass for about the same price. What these people don't understand is you can't get these new HORUS reticles on high dollar glass for about the same price, not even close. They compare standard or modified Mil-Dot reticle scopes to this reticle. So, if you understand why you're getting this reticle, you'll understand you won't find anything close for this price. Go look for these reticles on a night force or leupold. But hey, not everyone cares about long range shooting precision advantages that HORUS offers, they just buy a high dollar scope and hope for the best with hold-offs. If you have all day to sit there an dial in your knobs, then go for something else. If you want precision hold overs for the real world that work, this is the place to start. Only gripe is there isn't a red dot for general short range quick shots, the reticle is hard to see against darker stuff when you're not zoomed in. Other than that, they have a winner and can't be touched for the price. I never used my red dot on my Vortex scope, but you could see the reticle a little better when it was zoom was at a minimum, so it wasn't as necessary. This reticle, the lines are very thin for accurate hold overs when you're zoomed to the max.

It's not bad, should be a smidge higher to accommodate for flip up sites and to better line up with certain things. The nods I got work well with it, and will adapt, but it has to be mounted far forward to clear my rear flip up sight. I wouldn't pass it up though for the price.

You probably won't find a nicer set for this price. Happy with it to use as a dedicated sight. Sure you can get a Gen 2+ or Gen 3, but if you're looking for a sight you can afford, or a dedicated site for scoping out the yard or probably brush hunting, this will do the trick. There is a little distortion around the edges that is noticeable, but for the price, it's great.

I would give it 5 stars if I didn't have to wait 4 months for it to come in, and it was priced properly. It looks bulky and durable in the picture, when you put it on, you may find yourself saying "This thing is paper thin, I paid how much for this?". Absolutely not warm, so don't buy this unless you have a well insulated jacket underneath. The only cool thing about it is it does have polar fleece in the pockets and in the hood. I think they forgot to put the polar fleece in the rest of the jacket, I'll have to look and see if they actually forgot! If you want a jacket that is super load, paper thin, not warm at all, and really really expensive, look no further.
