spend the extra for true thermal

i should've read better, i was just checking out thermals and this came up and i figured i'd try it. didn't catch that it was night vision, not thermal. as for the 300 yard claim i'd read somewhere, not even close, maybe 100 yards. and it's all a white wash look. thermal is soooo much better. for a day scope, it works great but a lot of money for a day scope.

i liked the size and fit, but the screen never worked. atn was absolutely zero help, but thankfully optics planet sent me some things to try. i updated the firmware and did a couple other things and got the scope to work once. next time i tried it, right back to the same issues of grey fuzz on the screen. returned in my timeframe and bought another brand scope that has been flawless.

so nice to see what's going on outside

after getting it all dialed in, it works pretty dang good. and it has worked every time i turned it on unlike the atn thor that i only got to work once in 20 tries or so. battery life does suck and i wish there was a rechargeable pack, but i will by rechargeable batteries when i run out of what i have. zoom obviously isn't great, but it's also not a $6k scope. i bought it for my .22 and it works just fine for that. vision is well beyond the accuracy of my gun. within minutes of zeroing it at 9pm on a moonless night, i had a 1" grouping at 50 yards.
