Same hardness as the thin standard buttpad.
Written on Mar 26, 2024
Nothing “enhanced” about this product. Hard as a golf ball. The holes added do nothing perceptible to soften the pad.
Only buy if you need to add 0.7 inch to the length of pull to your “compact” adjustable stock! Pointless.

What you should know about it on an AR10 Precision Marksman Rifle setup

Review for
Magpul Industries PRS GEN3 Precision-Adjustable Stock for AR15/M16 and AR10/SR25 platforms
Set up for rifle length buffer tube. The length of pull is huge when set to MINIMUM. There is no adjustability because the cheek riser should have been designed to be placed 1/2 inch farther away from the front, and the front spacer shortened. The way it is now is that the cheek riser will just clear the fully extended charging handle, as it should. Unless you are over 6ft tall and arms to match, you will need to fully collapse the butt-stock.
One other thing, unless you are running an extremely high optic setup, the cheek riser will need to be fully lowered to its minimum height.
For its price, it should be redesigned to be more functional. I am considering buying something else like FAB Defense and others.

Would be 5 stars if it was machined for Hk accessory carrying handle.

Bought this mainly to allow better barrel cooling on my old Hk91. Saved a lot of weight ditching the wide body plastic handguard and factory steel bipod for this piece and the Midwest Industries M-Loc Harris bipod mount.
Fit, finish, and hand feel of the aluminum rail is excellent. The hard anodized finish is just the ticket for durability.
Only gripe is that I have the factory carrying handle installed and I wasn’t going to take it off. This requires some cutting of the rail with a steady hand, Dremel grinder, cut-off wheel, and pair of calipers. I guess it makes sense to design it for the 95% of guns that don’t have a handle. Turned out well, but it was a risky chance for serious cosmetic damage.
I would recommend this rail to modernize your vintage Hk platform, and it is removable to not alter the rifle’s value. Tip, use a low strength loctite thread locking compound if you want to switch handguards back and forth.

JP Enterprises Titanium Firing Pin
Does not fit Armalite AR-10B series rifles built in Geneseo, IL.
Profile is different, and firing pin doesn’t protrude enough. I didn’t bother test firing, the difference is visually noticeable.
Forgot that AR-10’s have a firing pin spring unlike the AR-15, so I’m not too disappointed. I bought a titanium pin for my AR-15 at the same time since I was concerned about slam fire with commercial primers after installing a Geissele super 42 higher strength buffer spring and JP Enterprises low friction gas ring on my Geissele enhanced BCG. The lighter titanium pin is less likely to slam fire a sensitive primer. The AR-10 firing pin spring mitigates this possibility.

UTG Pro Model 4/AR15 Receiver Wedge
Purchased 10/2023. Installed, my upper would not close on my vintage Bushmaster lower receiver out of the box.
Trimmed about 1/32” off the round bottom of the plug to achieve a tight fit.
The rubber is squishy enough and not hard as others have reported.
The one I got was red. Description said black. I don’t care what color it is. I’ve only used red ones over the years.

Just clarifying the product description…
Written on Oct 14, 2023
The other reviews are spot on, don’t need more from me.
However, the OP description lists color as silver/chrome. Only the extractor and cam pin are silver color, and only the extractor is visible on an open bolt.
The Nanoweapon coating is Chrome-nitride, which has a glossy black color. Looks great and low COF.
NOT silver like Boron Nitride, which is also an excellent finish for a BCG.

JP Enterprises Enhanced Gas Ring
Haven’t shot it yet, but amazed how much less friction these rings have over mil-spec.
This is an improved McFarland-Style one piece spiral ring. The precision edge grind actually makes for more surface area contact with the bolt bore, compared to both traditional 3 piece rings and the standard McFarland rings.
With Geissele enhanced BCG and this gas ring, the bolt will fully lock into battery under buffer spring pressure only if you slowly ride the bolt home with the charging handle. Butter smooth.
I only run one piece gas rings in my AR-15 and AR-10T.
