Hornady is top notch quality. I was impressed when taking the rounds out of the box on how smooth the brass was. I imagine it will help with feeding and also reduce wear on the chamber. It shot very close groups. I listen to the Hornady podcast and it has a lot of great background.
My only observation (not really a complaint) is that the tips are very fragile plastic. I ejected a round to clear the chamber and it damaged the red tip, so be careful if need to eject a round so you don’t mess it up.

Review for
Midwest Industries Upper Receiver Rod
Perfect fit for the m&p 15 sport by Smith and Wesson. There is some slight movement left to right on where it goes into the barrel, but the sail will keep it snug. The shaft itself is a perfect tight fit into the upper.
I also got the larger 308 URR, but that is a perfect fit in my ar-10 for the shaft but the upper part for the receiver did not fit (may need some trimming as the sail fit on its own but not when attached, but fit perfect in my father in law’s DPMS LR-308).

M&P 15 Sport Perfect fit and solid

I am super happy with how perfectly the top picatinny lines up with the rail on the receiver. It feels like it was built perfectly for the S&W m&p 15 sport. I also have the sport 2 so I’ll be getting a second. The Troy hand guard is also solid and the qd mount worked perfectly with my magpul ms4 sling. It’s very high quality. The address lettering is a little brighter on the m&p 15, where the address lettering on the Troy rail is more of a gold cream, but that matches the laser etched m&p logo on the side, so it’s all good. I suppose it’s also a little more tactical with the more dull color rather than bright white. Very satisfied
