The perfect bipod

Written on Dec 17, 2025

This is my 2nd Atlas and first with the anti-rotating legs. That feature seems insignificant but it’s worth spending a little more than the old V8 model. Highly recommend these bipods. My only complaint is the rubber feet had a lot of flashing that needed to be trimmed off. It also shows up in a plastic bag. For the price, you’d think they couldn’t better.

Great for the price

I’ve used way more expensive optics and honestly this thing is very high quality. Even the packaging was incredibly nice. FDE optics are hard to come by and this OP mod variant is a good option, although it’s a little lighter than Magpul’s FDE. I found the height to be perfect and the dot is very clear and precise. I saw no distortion in the glass and it appears to be a true 1X. There is a huge illumination range and you really only start to see star bursting in the super high ranges. The shake awake feature is fantastic to see, especially at this price point. The battery life claim is crazy at almost 6 years. We’ll see how true that is. The included lens caps are surprisingly nice. My only complaint is the quick detach mount. Sig could have done a better job explaining the adjustment. It has lugs built in which solidifies the mount. My issue is that after about 200 rounds it came loose. I added another notch of tension in to the mount and it didn’t come loose again. However I felt like I was going to break the lever. Despite that I would buy it again. For this price, you cannot beat it.

Great light, everyone except my wallet agrees

Written on Feb 19, 2022

I cannot believe I spent this much on a flashlight. That being said, it’s great. The light is pure white and the flashlight body is very compact. I needed something that would take up minimal rail space on an AR pistol handguard. This was perfect for my needs. 500 lumen seems dim by todays standard, especially considering the streamlight is twice as bright for half the price. Yet the way the beam throws is perfect. I would definitely say it has a more focused flood than a beam. This light is more geared toward close quarters. I actually found that 500 lumen seemed to be better for home defense situations. It’s plenty bright without being so overpowering that you can’t pick up your red dot (which was the case with my 1,000 lumen stream light). The included M lok attachment is fantastic. I have around 500 rounds through this gun and the light hasn’t come loose. My only complaint is the color. I went FDE for this build and the Sure Fire light is more of a light sand color. It’s definitely lighter than say Magpul or Aero FDE. Unfortunately if you want a pressure pad, prepare to drop another couple hundred.

Best I’ve used

Written on Feb 19, 2022

This thing is awesome. I originally bought it simply to attach a SureFire Warden too. But I quickly realized how much I like just shooting with the WarComp on. I built a 10.5” pistol in 5.56 and was concerned about muzzle flash. I have a 16” rifle with a VG6 gamma and that thing throws fire balls. To my surprise, there’s no visible flash with the War Comp on this short barrel. I’m highly impressed. The idea with the open tang’s is that it helps disperse the unburned gas quickly, and it definitely does a good job of that. Sure Fire includes shims, instructions, a wrench adapter (for the 3 prong model), and a tube of rocksett. This is without a doubt one of the more expensive muzzle devices. But IMO it’s 100% worth it. Additionally, you have the ability to attach linear comps like the Warden or suppressors. It is a rock solid mount. I’m ordering a second one for my other gun!

A steal for the price

I was completely undecided on what optic to run on my Aero pistol build until I saw this. Finding FDE optics is hard enough and the OpMod was a great choice. The glass appears to be a true 1X with no visible distortion. The “shake awake” feature is something I’ve grown to love coming from Holosun. To see that feature on a sub $250 optic is fantastic. I typically use open reflex sights so going back to a red dot was worrisome. However, this optic make acquiring the dot quickly very easy. There is a ton brightness adjustment.

The mounting system is very rigid, with built in recoil lugs. The instructions don’t explain how to tighten the QD mount. Mine was a hair loose when I first installed it. You tighten it by removing the optic, pushing in on the QD lever side and spinning the knob on the opposite side, much like how you install an AR-15 magazine release.

This is a great optic for the price point and I’m very happy with it. The FDE color is a bit on the lighter side but it’s only noticeable in direct light. I’d say it’s more of a Magpul FDE tone.

All you need

I’ve used the more expensive Radian charging handles but this is just as good at a cheaper price. I actually had a hard time telling that the handles are composite. I feel a bit silly for spending almost $40 more for the all aluminum versions. This is holding up well and the FDE is actually a good match to my Aero upper.
