I had only used a Mil Spec trigger before installing this one. I am very impressed with the ability to know exactly when the weapon will fire. It did take a little time to install it. I was a little concerned about the installation, however, I used the YouTube video that Mr. Geissele has posted. It is very good at explaining how to remove the old trigger and install the SSA Trigger. The guide pin that comes with the trigger makes a difference on the install. I am very pleased with the trigger. I am now looking at other Geissele products.

I wanted a carry bag/case that it is durable and easy to carry. This is it. Perfect for my AR 15 and will carry extra mags in the mag pockets. Very well made. I use this to transport my weapon to and from the range.

I did a lot of research and decided to purchase the Troy Folding Battle Sight front and rear. I was a little confused about which height to put on my AR 15 with Eotech sight and magnifier, so I called the folks at Troy and their customer service representative explained the different sights and recommended the ones that I purchased form Optics Planet. The sights were very easy to install and pretty straight forward to zero. I know these sights are a little more expensive that some other brands but I think the quality is worth the difference. I was not disappointed and I plan to purchase another set for my next gun.

First off, I very seldom write a review unless I think it maybe helpful for other buyers to know. My experience maybe what others had expected when they made their purchase. This was the first muzzle brake or recoil compensator I have purchased.

I was excited to receive my Apollo Max Compensator. I watched the instruction video and I was able to install it very quickly. The next day I went to the range (indoor 50 Yard) to try it out. It did in fact reduce the recoil as advertised. I fired my AR 15 using my bipod on top of the shooting shelf. A paper silhouette target rolled up near the rifle was pretty much destroyed by the blow-back of gunshot residue (GSR) on the first shot it ripped it in three places and blew empty cartridge boxes on the floor. The amount of GSR that is expelled is greater than I had expected. After firing about sixty rounds, the face mask I was wearing had a large black area from the GSR. My streamlight flashlight/laser was coated with GSR so much that the red dot laser was not useable. Also, the body of the flash light was coated with black residue.

The Compensator performed as advertised, however, for me the amount of GSR blowing back is not worth the trade-off for reducing the recoil. My shooting is at an indoor range. I am sure if you are shooting outside it would probably be less of an issue. I have removed it from my AR 15. I do not plan to return it as it performed as advertised.
