Excellent Quality, Excellent Performance with minor drawbacks

Written on Jan 06, 2023

For the price I got this at, it's a steal. Love that it comes with the killflash. Mount could be better (difficult to adjust) but once properly adjusted and clamped down, it seems rock solid. No issues. Overall, I'm impressed with the quality, durability, performance and value. My biggest gripe is the battery type and the supposed battery life being less than other options. Then again, those other options are 2-4x the price. I mated this with their 3x magnifier and it's a very commendable setup. I had a problem with the flip to side mount for their B3X magnifier...and get this...they sent me a BRAND NEW 3X magnifier and mount for free! Talk about customer service. While the new mount was better, (there are better mounts out there and) I had already purchased a newer and much nicer Primary Arms SLx flip to side mount. Now all is great. Overall performance for the price is amazing. It performs just as well as my Aimpoint setup for about 1/3 the cost. Perfect option for a 2nd or backup rifle. It would be ideal if this thing took CR123's and had better battery life but oh well. I stocked up on some CR2's. Germans will be Germans! The only other choice at this kind of price point would be Holosun, and it's nice to try something new and support a German company.

Very pleasantly surprised

Written on Jan 05, 2023

Wanted it in black but for $259 with the ACSS Aurora, it's a steal. $70 more to go to black, so I'll deal with FDE. It seems to be hard to find the ACSS Aurora reticle these days, so glad I got one when I could. Quality feel to the optic overall. Glass clarity is very good. Edge to edge clarity is very good. Pleased with the glass quality, light transmission. Eye relief and eyebox are to be expected. I don't know why others are complaining about the reticle -- my eyes suck and I can see it just fine. Illumination is excellent. Red or green is a nice touch, although I prefer red. Illumination knob is a bit stiff but solid and will likely loosen up. Windage and elevation adjustments are positive and tactile, not mushy at all. Also, not sure why anyone is complaining about the eye relief...it's a prism...they all have the same issue from my experience. It's eye relief is significantly better than an ACOG 4x though. Yes, it would be nice if the optic could be mounted a bit further back but ditch the rear BUIS and it works fine. You have to get up on it a bit but again, I haven't heard of a prism where you didn't have to. If you want more cantilever in the mount...get the 3x MicroPrism. Show me any other 5x prism that mounts back further than this one -- haven't found one. Some guys complain about stuff, just to complain it seems. Anyhow, the mount seems sturdy. Even with 1x more magnification, the FOV at 100 yards is only 5 feet less than the ACOG 4x. Overall I really

Quality Mount

Written on Dec 22, 2022

Seems like a high quality mount that works well. I also bought a BROWE red dot with 45 offside mount and realize it's the exact same mount. Browe sells their 45 degree mount for $57 and this is $25. No brainer.

Quality product

Written on Sep 09, 2020

Quality construction and overall function. Reticle is bright and easily visible in all conditions and is not quite as distracting or fuzzy to me like eotechs. Only complaints are the small illumination touch pad with no tacticle or labeled buttons. The other complaint is the battery cover was really tough to screw in, after installing battery. I needed to pull out the lithium grease for the threads. Otherwise, seems like a quality piece for the money. I'm sure it functions as well as an eotech for 99% of the population, for much less than half the cost.
