This is perhaps one of the best put together and well priced URGs on the market. With two of these now used in builds, I can confirm these are great quality uppers. Both have about 1 moa accuracy with good ammo. 14.5 pin and weld gives you the shortest length for rifle under the dumb NFA, surefire 3 prong is an excellent flash hider, it suppresses great with an rc2, rc3 is chefs kiss, no malfunctions with either, at 2500 rounds combined, and rails hold zero. Great price on them now too! Note, like every DD upper I’ve encountered, the rails were not properly aligned with the upper receiver, just use a solid optic mount to bridge them and re-torque.

Geissele took the upper in under warranty and re-barreled it, had it back in about a month. 450 rounds in and no issues, all types of ammo. Getting sub moa at a hundred yards suppressed with AAC 5.56 55g. Glad they fixed it, wish I didn’t have to deal with the headache. I’d recommend this upper, and if suppressed, get the H2 buffer.

I ordered this thinking it’s Geissele, and socom selected it, so it must be one of the best. Received the upper, looked beautiful, kitted it out, went to zero and instant failure. Apparently Geissele does not know how to make barrels to spec, no 5.56 or .223 ammo fits in the chamber. Managed to finally get one chambered after significant force, took several mortar attempts and a rubber mallet to get the live round out. This has apparently been a persistent problem due to terrible QC. Will hopefully be sending back to Geissele via RMA. As much as I love their triggers and buffer system, this has permanently left a sour taste in my mouth, and I will never buy their products again. No wonder socom is using DD barrels, and we should too… or BCM, LMT, KAC, SOLGW or any other company that makes sure their barrels are to spec before sending them out to consumers. DO NOT BUY.
