I would like to say first off.... by no means is this a bad choke. Jeb's, this is a well made choke, & quality is Top Notch !!
Just because it didn't do what I wanted, doesn't make it junk. At 25 yards this choke put 95-110 holes in a 8 1/2" x 11" turkey target consistently. ( the whole sheet of paper ) approx. 32 were in the turkey, 11 were in the vitals. It will do what it is supposed to do. Not as impressive as I thought it would be, but, still effective. I got the Rem 10 Headhunter .680, I think its too tight & possibly blows the patterns. This is still a work in progress, trying different things. I was working with a lighter load, thinking the the tighter constriction could possibly work better. Its a 10ga 1 1/2oz #6 lead load at 1250fps. ( approx. 366 pellets ) You would think this would have a pretty dense pattern at close range. At 35 yards, there were about 35-40 holes in the same target consistently. I know what your thinking.... Why such a light load for a 10 ? It's just something I'm working on for my own personal use. I have not tried the 2 ounce lead factory stuff yet, or the New specialty Turkey loads. This is what patterning is all about. Now, I know what needs fixed. Now its time for different wads & different powder loads. It's all about trial & error. These are "MY" findings with "MY" Rem SP-10. Every choke and barrel are different. This just goes to show that you need to put in the seat time at the range to know what you actually

These chokes are Awesome ! I like the non-ported for my O/U. The white cerakote finish is durable & easy to clean. They look Sweet in my Citori White Lightning too ! I was not sure about the rings on the inside when I purchased the first set of Mid-Range. These pattern great with all types of shot. I've used them with steel & lead. The Mid-Range work great in my Citori White Lightning with #2 Steel, all the way down to #8 lead for sporting clays. Now I have set of the Long-Range for some distance at sporting clays, to get ready for Late Season Doves ! Don't let the name fool you. Just because it's a Snow Goose choke, it does well in multiple applications with all different kinds of loads. I don't think these are rated for Buck Shot or the new flight stopping wads.

I finally got my Browning A5 to pattern the way I wanted. I got the Invector DS ported choke tube set. The set came with the Mid Range ( light mod. ) and the Long Range ( imp. mod ). I tried the mid range and it did just what I wanted. It patterned well well with #4 steel, # 7 1/2 lead, and # 8 lead. I was concerned that the smaller lead shot not doing what I wanted, due to the fact that these are marketed as steel shot chokes..... Not the case though.... It ended up being quite the opposite. These patterned Rem Nitro 27's # 7 1/2 & #8's outstanding ! A lot of people have a problem with the new Invector DS choke system. Its a completely different design, with different bore diameters, so it doesn't have the same constriction as the normal choke designation. Thats ok with me.... I finally got a set of these !!! From what i have found, it seems to be that these chokes are not load sensitive. It shot steel just as well as lead. I'm sure that some rounds will pattern better than others depending on what combination you choose, but.... my hard to pattern A5, is now outstanding. I'm not saying this will make you a better shooter, but you pattern will not be splotchy with holes, it will be even. The only way to tell for yourself is to pattern you shotgun. I'm happy with mine, but I was skeptical in the beginning..... I would recommend these to anyone trying to improve pattern density. They fit perfectly, and didn't work loose through out the testing period. That wa

This is the Early Season choke & worked well with multiple different loads. It was tested with a Beretta A300 Outlander 12ga. I tried it with 3 different target loads, Rem Gun Clubs & Fed Target loads & Rem. Nitro 27's all were 2 3/4 #8 1 1/8oz lead. I tried Rem. Pheasant Loads 2 3/4 #4 1 1/4oz lead 1330fps. I also had Browning Wicked Wing 3" 1 1/4oz #2 Steel 1450fps. All patterned were decent and even.... The best was Fed. Heavy Field 2 3/4 #6 1 1/8oz lead.... That pattern was exceptional with the combination I have. I did not have the choke come loose every couple shots. I DID NOT have a box of Win. Pheasant loads that the choke was designed for. I was kinda skeptical that the patterns from the target loads would be weak, due to the small shot, but they were not. They were nice, even and POA. I found that all the different shells that were tried, all of them had the same point of impact. One didn't shoot to the left and the next shoot to the right, or up and down. I'm not sure what the rings inside are for, they say to keep down fliers & keep patterns even.... I think they nailed it ! The porting really didn't make any difference to me, maybe it makes a difference for patterns. I'm not a fan of ported chokes, but this one I do like.... All In All, what I found was.. with all the different shells I tried from different manufactures, I would not hesitate to take this choke to the field fo whatever i was going to hunt..... Who needs the $30 box of shells that t

Same as the ones that came with my A5. Browning factory Tubes, with factory markings. They have the brass band around the bottom, just like i ordered them from Browning... at less than half the price. If you are looking to fill in the missing tubes from your set, these are for you. Check out the picture, what you see is what you get !
