great chest holster
Written on Nov 04, 2023
I like to ride single track, or mountain roads on my dirt bike and camp on the trail. I carry a Sig P226 legion SAO RX. Having it on my chest gives easy access and less of a chance of bruising my hip or breaking a rib if I go down. The straps adjust easily and the buckles are low profile as to not snag or catch things as I pass. The buckles make it easy to take off and on with my protective gear on as well as adjusting while I’m in camp with out the extra gear on. It’s also much easier when relieving your self. A gun on the belt makes your pants heavy and awkward. It’s a great price and in my case very functional. It’s perfect for the avid outdoors man. Also when crossing rivers it’s higher on the chest and less likely to submerge your gun and ammo.

Stern Defense SD MOD5 M lok handguard 8”

Review for
Stern Defense MOD5 M-Lok Handguards
Stern Defense SD MOD5 M lok handguard 8” I used on pistol build. 8.5” barrel left enough room to install flash hider. I gave it 3 stars because I could not time it enough to not touch gas tube. The barrel nut is too tall which puts upper pressure on gas tube. It was difficult to get the gas tube passed the barrel but during installation. Not sure how this will affect barrel harmonics but it goes against what I think is correct for accuracy. Need to take to the range to see if I need to change it out.

SureFire WarComp flas hider ported for SOCOM
Written on Oct 12, 2020
I ordered two of these SureFire WarComp flash hiders ported for SOCOM suppressor. I built a pistol 300 Black Out with a 8.5” barrel I installed a 7.5” hand guard giving me enough room to install the SOCOM suppressor.
My next build shares the suppressor with the 300 blkout, is a AR 308 using the same SureFire WarComp flas hider. 16” fluted bull barrel. It’s nice quick change. I leave the suppressor on the 300 for home defense and change out to 308 for hunting.

Areo Precision 308 carbine buffer kit

Review for
Aero Precision M5 .308 Carbine Buffer Kit
Areo Precision 308 carbine buffer kit is a great standard. Nothing special or fancy just plain works. Areo Precision is a great company and is known for its innovation and reliability. I haven’t had the opportunity to tune this build yet but believe this is the right choice. I will use an adjustable gas block to tune the rifle for suppressed fire. Optics Planet is one of my favorite go to places for parts. They have a great selection and the comment section is very helpful.

Romeo5 red dot

Review for
SIG SAUER ROMEO5 1x20mm 2 MOA Red Dot Sight
Purchased the ROMEO5 for a 300 blk out pistol build with a 7.5 “ hand guard on a 8” barrel. It sits perfect between sights for Co witnessing. It is as advertised and price point is great. I have a vortex Spark 2 on another build. They are both great but I like how small the Romeo 5 is. The shake to turn on is an option that I think all red dots should have. Optics planet thanks again your one of my top go to companies and the app is great.
