It is what it is.

I was kind of pleased with the scope after my initial purchase. It looked great and shot fairly well. I put it on a .17 WSM Bmag. I upgraded the rifle with a new stock, trigger, scope mount etc. At the start up it shot 1.5 MOA. Not what I wanted but reasonable. It did ok on prairie dogs, but for the life of me it was inconsistent.

I purchased this scope last summer and fast forward to January in Utah. I took it to the range to check zero and was surprised to get a 2 inch group... I just cleaned the gun and was not expecting that. After 3 or 4 more groups I started getting some really wild flyers. I bagged the gun for the day. I went to the indoor range to try to figure out the problem. First I put the gun on a lead sledgehammer. I got 7 rounds in a .20 inch group at 50 yards, all shots were touching.

Weird right? So LOOKING through the scope while in a lead sled again I noticed the crosshair shifting with each shot. Never going to fear out of zero, but enough to explain all those flyers. I tried shooting from the bench again, offhand, with the same results. The group opened up to .5 or so with an odd flyer.

I repeated the process enough to determine the scope was not holding zero. I determined it was more due to the cold weather then anything else. As when the gun was warm it was less "shifty" and as it got colder it was more "shifty".

I won't waste my time sending the scope back. It was less then 6 months old. I am not going to go through customer ca

A spectacular 1 x 8 scope!

Written on May 01, 2019

I just received my scope this afternoon and rushed to mount and shoot this before daylight ended. First off this was a simple and easy installation, no surprises. The Zerostop turrets took me 30 seconds to figure out, and 20 rounds to obtain a perfect zero. The glass, as expected is very clear and can only be trumped by Swarovski, Zeiss, Leica and those other such top tier scope makes. While superior to or on par with Primary Arms Platinum, Vortex Razor, Sig, Nightforce and any other scope up to about 2k bucks.

The glass is really good, but it really shines (incoming pun) in the brightness category. I can only compare brightness to the top tier scopes as it flat out beat just anything else in its class by a large margin and easily beat out several top tier scope makers after the sun had set. Sunset was 8:24 p.m. and I alongside of 4 or 5 other hardcore shooters stayed and shot till we could not safely ID our targets. The light gathering gave me another 30 minutes of shooting light that I have never had from a LPVO until this optic. Several people on the range were beyond impressed and so was I.

The build quality and finish is excellent on the Accupower. The warranty in my inexperience (while not as good as Vortex or Sig that I do have experience with) is very good in writing. But to be honest, I have never had to use a warranty on Trijicon stuff,so having no experience with them I consider it a plus. There stuff just works, and works, and... Well you get the idea
