Perfect for slowing down your rate of fire

Written on Jul 09, 2026

This is a legit H3 buffer that actually uses tungsten weights, so you get that dead blow effect when your bolt recoils. It helped me greatly with my FRT setup.

Great helmet for big heads

Written on Sep 12, 2024

I've had problems finding a helmet that fits my huge head comfortably. The 2XL version of this helmet fits nicely. If you wear a 2XL cap, this helmet sized for 2XL will fit nicely.

Lots of nice velcro attachment points.

Might have a hard time finding helmet covers because of the size though.

Great fit for Draco

Written on Dec 12, 2023

I was looking for a way to mount an optic for my regular Draco (not mini-Draco), and found the FAB Defense railed dust cover. I was hesitant because of the various fitment issues across different AKM variants.

No problems encountered fortunately with the Draco, and the fitment is very tight. So if you have a Draco, I would definitely recommend.

Nice quality light but not as bright as I would have expected

Written on Oct 26, 2023

I own a lot of Streamlight products (TLR-1, TLR-1 HL, TLR-7A, etc). I wanted to try the ProTac out. It came with a switch and mounting hardware for a picatinny rail. Overall good quality feel to the product.

My only criticism is that it seems to not be as bright as my comparable Streamlight products. My TLR-1 is rated at 300 lumens, this is rated at 350 lumens. The TLR-1 seems to throw a much brighter spot than this light. It's not faint by any means, but I expected a much stronger output.

Good value for a basic comp

Written on Oct 25, 2023

I needed a basic comp for a new build, and I didn't want to buy a standard bird cage. It was easy to install but no crush washer was included. Luckily I had a couple on hand in my workshop.

I didn't notice any difference in accuracy or shifting. I would say it diverts far better than your standard bird cage.

Well priced full size 1911 holster

Written on Oct 09, 2023

I just purchased a Springfield 1911 Garrison and needed a holster that accommodated the wider thumb safety lever that is on the Garrison. The fit is near perfect. Draw is clean.

For the price, I'm not sure you can get better fit and quality for a Springfield 1911.

Well priced HK suppressor height sights for the price, but may need a little bit of fitting

Written on Aug 30, 2023

I was looking for some tall night sights to co-witness on my Holoson 407k. The XS Sights are probably the best priced on the market. I've probably done half a dozen sight installs for various Glock pistols, but this was my first experience trying an HK.

I did the install using an ATG pistol sight pusher. I made my zero marks on the slide using the stock sights and a white oil market. Getting the stock rear and front sights off the gun was easy.

Next I installed the front sight, and moved it until the orange dot was exactly above my white mark I made on the slide. It went on very easy.

The rear sight was a bit tougher. When I was pushing the sight onto the slide I noticed a lot of resistance, so I looked very closely under my jeweler loupe and I could see a very small amount of material was being sheered off the back of the rear sight fitting. So I pushed the sight off and using my dremel, I began to polish the rear side of the fitting, removing very little material, mostly just smoothing it out.

I tried pushing the sight onto the slide again, and this time it went on with much less force needed, and still was a very snug fit. Overall I'm very satisfied with the install, but keep in mind, don't force it. If you feel more resistance than you're used to, take a close look and see if you may need to polish the rear sight fitting a little bit before install.

Great magwell for Shield magazine users

Written on Aug 08, 2023

Great magwell for Glock 43x and Shield mag users. Adds a little bit of circumference for easier mag changes. Price is a bit high, but is a perfect fit for Shield mags, no problems seating or extracting mags.
