This is a must for the price of the scope. The operation is perfect. They even engineered in a swiveling option to allow for adjustments to the eyepiece while still allowing the cover to open in a vertical fashion. I had never installed one so I didn't know that the rubber eyepiece need to be (could be) removed. I sent the question to leupold and within a day or so I received an email from them not only describing how to remove the rubber eyepiece but also including a high quality video of someone removing the rubber on a similar model. It may not have taken much effort to take the video but just someone taking the time out of their day to provide this for me and remove any doubt as to the installation, really impressed me with their customer service. The cover installed perfectly and since I make a lot eye focus adjustments it is nice to have the vertical open feature available at any position.

Leupold quality at its best. Honestly with the investment in the VX-6 series the sunshades are a great add. The fit couldn't be any better and the weight is negligible. Items arrived a day late but packaging left no room for damage.

Finish is beautiful. Adjustments are a little tight but will not move. Adjustments are spot on when returned to previous setting. Illuminated retical has enough adjustment to be used in any light level. The 34mm main body is still a little limited on ring options but there are still sub 100$ options on this site.

Fit and finish were good. Product was as described and delivered on time. May take little longer to install since you'll need to sequence the torquing over 12 fasteners but that will only lead to a more secure mount. Probably not the best mount for optics that will be removed and re-installed continuously.
