Gap Between Holosun EPS Carry and Slide Cut

The optic cut on the slide left a gap between the bottom of a Holosun EPS Carry and the slide cut. Looking down the slide, the optic looked like it was canted perpendicularly to the slide. I thought the optic cut on this factory slide would be superior to mailing my existing slide to a custom shop to be milled, but I was wrong.
I would not recommend buying this optic ready slide, instead, find a reputable custom shop to mill and refinish your existing slide for your chosen optic.
The optic zeroed and it seems to work, but it's frustrating to spend 600$ on an optic and slide to have it fit poorly and be canted.
I may call Smith & Wesson support line but I'm not confident there is anything to do, if the optic zeros does, it really matter if there is a gap between the bottom of the optic and the slide?

EPS Carry Vs. 407K Holosun

I have two Holosun 407k 6 MOA Red dot sights and thought the closed emitter version would be better for a S&W Shield due to the ease of cleaning the lenses.
After using the EPS Carry I've concluded I probably should have bought a Holosun 407K instead of this optic.
The EPS Carry 6 MOA dot is much smaller than the 6 MOA dot on the 407k and the lenses on the EPS Carry are significantly more tinted.
Be sure you want a closed emitter optic before buying this, if I looked at one in the store I probably would have opted for the 407k instead.
