I had no idea if I would like this or not when I ordered it. I've had Ambi safeties before. I've had ones where the right side selector was smaller than the one on the left and I've had them where both sides are the same size. This one, both selectors are the same size. I have no problem operating the safety on and off with either hand. This one, the milling is very nice, or maybe it's MIM, either way, the thing is smooth. I can take it off safety with my thumb and then reengage the safety with my index finger just by bumping it back up. It's really easy and no rough edges to wear my fingers out like others I've had that cost more money. It properly engages and blocks the trigger. I've tried it with 4 different triggers using 3 different lowers, one stock trigger from PSA in a PSA lower. One trigger was an MBT trigger from LaRue in an Anderson lower, one was with the Geissele SD-E in my Daniel Defense lower. And in the same Anderson lower using the Geissele SD-C trigger. It worked on those lowers with those triggers. I put a magnet on it and the magnet stuck, so it is steel. The screw that holds the right side selector on is small. There are notches in the safety and right sided selector that engage and the small screw just holds it there. It seems like a good fit. Don't think I would put any lok-tite on that small of a screw as you would almost certainly have to heat it back up to get it out without stripping out the Allen wrench head. So if you have a dipped or rattle can p

I bought one of these around 10 years ago directly from the company. Over 10K rounds and never an issue. This one, after 150 rounds, the gun ran worse. Thought it was a buffer tube problem. Running it slow, it fired great. Rapid fire it seemed the gun was sluggish and it wouldn’t load the last round in 3 different mags. Like it literally was bogging down. Went home and took the gun apart for cleaning and inspection. The bottom of this BCG has really sharp edges where it rides and there was a serious rub mark from the hammer that was gouged into the BCG. I mean I could file my fingernails from that rub mark. So I checked the hammer. Smooth as glass. It’s a Geissele, duh. So why did that hammer leave such a mark? Has to be the material of the BCG. Again, the hammer is smooth as glass. Bought a Sharps Rifle Company XPB and ran another 150 rounds through the gun today and it ran perfectly. Can’t even tell it was fired and no rub marks on the bottom from the hammer. Really a night and day difference. Quality control has slipped tremendously and I can only hope it was a bad batch. The quality of the NiB coating is no where near the quality on my first one. Don’t think I’ll be buying anymore until FailZero can prove they have fixed the problem. And I know you can buy these with or without their coated hammer. My last one, I never used the coated hammer either and again, never had a problem with that one.

I like that the handles stick out a little more than standard size. It’s easier to grab and charge the gun even with a scope mounted. And being ambi, it’s perfect for either hand. The inside dimensions are perfect for a mil spec upper so as not to bind up with rapid charging. Some charging handles will bind a bit unless you make an effort to pull perfectly straight back. This one works with the motion of your wrist pulling back slow or fast. Highly recommend and the price is great for what you are getting. I have other handles that are way more expensive that don’t perform any better. Superb value!

I consistently get 1.5 lb pulls on this trigger. From day one! 2-stage trigger and it is light. You can rapid fire as well, but this shines for those precision shots. Just pull the trigger lightly until it hits the wall, then any other pressure and it fires. You will always know exactly when this trigger will fire. No surprise anymore. I highly recommend you practice dry firing it first to see just how good and light it is before loading it up! Don’t mess around with your finger on the trigger with this one. It’s light!

No creep. Just lightly pull until the trigger hits the wall, then any more pressure and it fires. No more of the old-timer’s instructions of squeezing the trigger until it fires. No more of that “it should surprise you when it fires” bull____! You know exactly when it will fire. Of course you can rapid fire too, but for precision shots, no more guesswork. This is it! Just like the SD-E trigger which is lighter than this one, some say too light…but the best triggers on the market by far! 4-4.5 lbs on this SD-C. The SD-E is about 1.5 lb pull. The only triggers I own. Best use is precision, duty and defense for this one. Best use for the SD-E is precision shots. Practice with it first! Or you’ll pull off shots before you are ready.
