good light, with some exceptions

Written on May 19, 2026

I really like this light, but it definitely has downsides that other lights in its class and price range don't have. If you watch any reviews, you'll hear the same things.

1) the beam pattern is really weird. Great spot, zero flood, but has weird ring artifacts (though you can't see them at all when using outdoors). I can see from one end of my property to the other (~300yrds) and with a magnified optic have no problem with PID.

2) the momentary and on modes run on the same single button, with a terrible latency. Would not recommend for a serious duty or home defense rifle, but for outdoor perusing or hunting this doesn't really matter.

Otherwise, build quality, esthetics, features, and output you can't beat it at the sale price. At Full price, consider other options for sure.

Overall it has quirks and problems, but it's compact, comes with a crane plug switch and override cap, have the option to run their IR head, great mounting options, and has really good spot output. If you can get it on sale, it's a great light (for what i paid)

great for the price

Very good quality in machining, doesn't have that ledge for the spring to hold onto but i don't see that being an issue. We'll have to see how the pad holds up over higher round counts, but for the price you can't beat this option, especially if you're tinkering with buffer weights and need to buy a few different ones.

Excellent system, high price

Written on Mar 01, 2026

Preface- i don't have experience with every mounting system. This is comparing it to direct thread and the YHM systems which I use.

Great materials and finish work, quality is outstanding and robust. This is THE FASTEST attachment method I know of, let alone the detach which takes literally 1/6 of a rotation to remove. If you are using a "universal" suppressor among many different weapons, then this is a great option. I use this on a 9mm can which sees use on rimfire, .308, 5.56, and 9mm rifles. I can swap it from gun to gun very quickly unlike direct thread.

It does seat on a taper, BUT that does not mean that it sits in the same position every time. This is not as repeatable as other taper mount systems. It is drawn down on the taper rather than spun into the taper if that makes sense. So do not expect the same POI shift unless you mark your suppressor to time it. You can rachet the system tighter or looser each time since it is just held on under tension. Nothing actually "locks" into place. When it ratchets down, it is only drawing tension onto the lugs and taper. That 1/6 turn counterclockwise just releases the lugs and then you must continue to spin it to release that draw.

It does add more length than other systems, but barely any weight as it is titanium. My only complaint is the cost (depending on where you buy it from). I know there are many parts, and it is made of titanium, but I think they should have made a stainless version to cut down the cost. Most people

not what I was expecting

Written on Feb 22, 2026

First of all, this is a very "hyped" product online, after hearing so many people have great things to say about it, I thought I would give it a try. Construction is really solid and the texture looks neat, angle is good for a shorter sbr or pistol with a short overall LOP. Very comfortable on the wrist in that respect

My complaint is with the shape or the grip. It's not uniform, it's more of a teardrop shape with a blocky front strap. Imagine the rear of the grip like an A2, but the front flat like a glock grip. I don't personally like it one bit. It feels really strange and uncomfortable with my medium but meatier hands. While the undercut is nice, it just doesn't feel right to me. It's not nearly as universal as people let on.

Great value for such a simple upgrade

Not sure how this works so well or what it does differently than an H3 buffer, but it does. It seems to have reduced ejection by at least 30 minutes, maybe more. Recoil impulse is dampened as well. Costs nearly the same as a cheap H3/H2 buffer so i figured it was worth a shot. Tried on both 10.5 and 11.5 suppressed rifles and it provided a noticeable improvement.

Great pattern, especially if you don't have a choke

Written on Jan 23, 2026

I found this functions the absolute BEST after trying several premium 00 buck for my 870 Police Magnum which does not allow for configurable chokes. I can get (no joke) about 2-3" patterns from 10-15 yards- which I almost didn't believe when I first tried them. General rule is you get 1" of spread in your pattern per yard, so this far exceeded that standard. Other cheaper stuff I've run would get up to 12" patterns at this distance, so I was looking for something that would pattern under 6" without switching my barrel.

If you want super tight groups from a combat barrel, this is the stuff and worth the premium you pay.

great product, description wrong

First, i love these Armaspec SRS springs. I run them in multiple rifles, most of them H1 or H3. Problem is, they market this SKU as being HEAVIER than an H3 which is what i needed, and didn't want to go with something like the AR9 version they offer which may be too heavy. Problem is, this is just the same as their H3 buffer they offer which I already have. Even the package says it's the same. Both have a total weight of 239 grams, so unless they lightened something else to add weight to the buffer, then i think this SKU is pointless. In my case i wanted a smidgen more weight than the H3 since the action was still a little too fast with my H3 SRS (10.5" piston AR suppressed with no gas adjustment), and the BB seemed to be what might do it. Doesn't look like it now.

Highly recommend these, just make sure before you buy that it's what you really need.

Decent for the price point

Written on Dec 19, 2025

Not much to say about it. assembly went fine, no QC issues in the parts I received. Definitely a cheap set of parts as the price would imply, but they function as they should. I used them in conjunction with a Wolf A1 16" upper and worked nicely. The only thing to note is the spring sounds exceptionally loud, almost like there's more clearance in the tube width for the spring to bounce around, far more than any of my other ARs running a traditional spring and buffer. Some grease will probably help, but it's a great deal of noise even when firing unsuppressed, very noticable.

It's a Stock

Written on May 16, 2025

Unfortunately, while it does have a unique look which I like- it's largely useless. It doesn't do any one thing well, except maybe being more compact while collapsed. You can tell it's a little bit of a ripoff UBR stock, but significantly less rigid while definitely being lighter. When extended, because it is completely polymer - it flexes dramatically while pulling the stock into your shoulder. If you run it one click in it is significantly better, but then you have a very short LOP. The QD cups are nice, but most any other stock for 1/3 the price includes those. Not worth the money, unless you just want the look.

Great Price for the upgrade

I'm really happy with this buy. My old buffer was falling apart, instead of buying a new spring and buffer this was barely any more $ so I went for it. Worked in my 300 blk pistol and my 5.56 piston pistol. While it definitely does mitigate the sound, I've personally found that the best part is the forward pressure increase from a standard spring. Even with a dirty chamber or other hangups, I've never had to use the forward assist with this installed. I have about 590 rounds on it now between the 2 guns I've used it on and it's been completely reliable. It's worth every penny.
