Purchased this item on sale at $44.49 which is a reasonable price. I wouldn’t pay $71.00 for it because you may choose to swap the standard rubberized grip for an Ergo Deluxe Grip and end up spending an additional $35.00. It’s definitely more esthetically pleasing when you match the fore-grip with the pistol grip. I placed the original grip on another AR so I didn’t accumulate any unnecessary expense due to preference. 1 star reduction for standard price and lack of models.

The LED illumination of the reticle is fairly bright, to the degree of creating a distracting glare around the periphery of the lens. In a sunlit environment, the glare favorably diminished, however, in a relatively dim environment, where ambient light collection and tritium components do not provide enough reticle intensity and the lowest LED setting is required, the glare is quite visible and will cause distraction. I would have also preferred a longer control cable that allows you to place the activation switch precisely on the hand rail. Have photos of light reflection on lens indoors and outdoors but no option to upload.

I picked up this scope during the Christmas Sale for slightly under $300.00. It’s for my next AR 10 Pistol Build. I set it on an AR15 pistol to check it out. You have to find the perfect place on the rail to obtain the best eye relief. I like the fact It has a focus adjustment so you can turn a blurry reticle into a well defined image. The Schott glass provides a crisp clear image. The scope also has a QD, reversible base which I made use of for this build. I like the release on the right side and I had to adjust the tension screw slightly to get a tight, solid fit. Apparently, my rail isn’t quite mil-spec. This base has the single lever, not the two pictured. Reviews from other web sites/online stores state the same discrepancy. The only thing I didn’t like was the entire reticle lights up instead of just the red dot. I’ll purchase the Steiner MRS and mount it on top of this prism scope to satisfy my requirement. I’m just waiting for the price to drop closer to $300.00. During sales, Optics Planet has the best prices on scopes and red dots, therefore, I keep returning to purchase more. Next big purchase will be the $1,179.00 MEPRO MOR.

My overall assessment of this optic is that it's okay but approximately $120.00 - $140.00 overpriced. It's a red dot, the same display as my HS506 for $239.00. I like the 30mm tube over the 20mm offerings and the green dot wasn't available from Optics Planet in the 30mm tube. I don't feel the housing justifies the extra money in comparison to competitor's models currently being offered at substantial savings. I'm sure I would have been happier with the Steiner M332 Prism Rapid Dot for $350.00 (on sale at Optics Planet during this posting).

I experienced binding when I set the tip of my finger in the concave portion of the magazine release. It appears the part was designed to provide a rest for the fat part of your finger pad while the tip presses in on the flat portion of the release. It works flawlessly with correct finger placement. To be honest, it appears I prefer just a concaved magazine release of standard size for around $8.00 as it doesn't matter what part of your finger presses it in.

I wasn’t pleased with the ergonomics and aesthetics of the Magpul AFG on my AR Pistol. I thought I’d gamble $20.00 on the Stark Express FG to see if the product provided better ergonomics and aesthetics. This product provides both for smaller platforms. I would have rated the product 5 stars if it had a rubber texture like my ergo deluxe grip. Stark almost manufactured the perfect AFG product, but, fell just short. I’ll be swapping out the Magpul AFGs on my KSGs as well.

This magazine release is an improvement over the factory magazine release. The additional height of the button and the concave surface is definitely more comfortable to activate. A two minute swap out.

Purchased this optic for my M&P Sport II as the $35.00 red dot it came with was of poor quality. Inserted the battery and the unit activated for a second and then shut itself off. Couldn’t get it to turn back on. Removed/reinserted the battery and it’s been working fine. I thought I would be able to remove the battery tray with my fingernail or a dime after removing the two screws, however, I was required to place a cloth over a pair of pliers to get the battery tray to detach from the housing. There’s also a little distortion in the projected dot as well. It’s far better than the $35.00 red dot I removed but we’re no where near Trijicon or Aimpoint quality. It’s good enough for a practice or Home Defense rifle but not made for battle. 3.5 star product on line with Burris and Vortex.
