Perfect balance of functionality, quality and price

Written on Oct 12, 2019

Before I buy this scope, I have already had Endurance ED 20-60x85 scope and very pleased with the performance. However, I just feel the size of the scope is just too big and heavy to be brought in daily use, especially to be used in my regular archery practice. For that I need smaller scope with lighter mass weight but of course don’t want to compromise the quality of the lens. After doing quite a research, to get balance on functionality, quality and of course the price, finally my choice went to (again!) Hawke Endurance ED 16-36x50.
Tested it in my 50m compound practice, I found this scope performs very well just like my previous stronger power scope. Image is sharp and vivid. In 20x magnification we have already been able to see texture of the surface of my 6 rings target. Tried looking different object in longer distance, up to approximately 200m, the scope still perform well and provide details in maximum magnification. The objective lens cover is attached to the scope with rubber on the sun shade which kind of advantage since you don’t have to worry to lose it.
But what I like most of this scope is its lightweight and compact construction. Now I can just put the scope into my backpack and go without any worries with the weights even when I’m on trekking.

Superb ED glass spotting scope with reasonable price

Written on Sep 09, 2019

I owned another Hawke product (Hawke Endurance ED binocular) and satisfied with it. So when I need a spotting scope, I decided to go with Hawke again. Tested it couple times in the field range, once again I’m very pleased with the performance. The ED glass is superb which allows you to get clear and crisp images either under brightly sunny day or dark night. Tried to observe moon surface and notice chromatic aberration start to appears above 45x magnification but it does not really bother since I still get sharp image up to maximum magnification. The body rotation feature allows you to get maximum comfortably when scoping the target and the pull out sunshade is long enough to avoid the objective lens from get direct frontside sun light. Love the stay on body cover which give extra protection from the scratch during the mobilization. You may need to consider to bring it along your trekking time due to its mass weight but I think it worth the effort. So, overall, if you are looking for the best quality spotting scope with reasonable prices, you should go with this scope.
