Accurate Deadly

Written on Mar 30, 2024

I know I'm using the Hornady slogan but if it fits, it fits. Best and only ammo I use for predators out to 200 yards.

Good but not great

Written on Jan 15, 2024

It's good but for someone like me who wants equal sized levers on both sides of the gun, I had to buy 2 sets.

Product is great, different sizes not for me

Written on Jan 03, 2024

These are great safety selectors and the design and installation high quality. I might be the outlier because I prefer both my selectors to be the same length and width. Because of that, I had to order 2 sets. One gun will be a pair of the longest and the other the medium size. I've been using it quite a bit, predator hunting, and they are really quiet and the short throw is the best.

So far, so good

Only used it twice but so far, so good. It's clear at lower power but once you get to 8x-10x there is a little distortion on the edges. Use it for coyote hunting and it's really good during the day out to a couple hundred years. At night it's good to maybe a hundred with red light. That could be my light as opposed to the optics. It's still a 4-star product but a long ways off from the Razor. But for $450, it's pretty solid glass.

Right Hand of God on predators

Written on Dec 03, 2023

Surprisingly very very accurate ammo. Little to no fur damage on coyotes. No damage on frontal shots to bobcats but it destroys foxes and prairie dogs.

Not super accurate

Written on Nov 29, 2023

Not as accurate as expected. Wouldn't shoot a coyote much past 100 yards with these rounds. Best grouping I got was 2" at 100 out of two different AR platforms. Both of those shoot sub MOA with other commercial ammo. Hornady and Fiocchi.

Right Hand of God on predators

I have shot 30-40 coyotes and 5 bobcats with these rounds. Dropped like they were struck by lightning. Round vaporizes the inside of the predators. Have only had a few pass throughs and the exit wound isn't so traumatic that is ruined. Entrance wound is almost impossible to find. Straight on shots hammer the critters but with ZERO fur damage. This is all I shoot now. Long distance is no problem either. Smoked a coyote at 214 yards a few nights ago. Hit a little far back on the flank but she still dropped in her tracks. Barely even flopped and was stone cold dead when I got to her. Best predator round I've ever shot and I have gone through a lot of different ammo trying to find the ideal one that suits my needs. Dead on impact with minimal fur damage.

Puts them down but not fur friendly

Written on Mar 07, 2022

Used this on AZ coyotes and grey foxes. If you shoot straight on into the chest, you can keep the fur. But you hit a high shoulder or quartering broadside, you're going to have significant exit wound cavitation. But if you are trying to save deer fawns and quail one predator at a time, this is the ammo. Shoots dimes out of my PSA CHF 16" AR-15. Sub 1" groups at 100 yards.
