The defender line is vortex putting out solid red dots. The second iteration with the improved shut-off timer and refresh rate made this a great option and competitor to holosun.

I had a standard shield plus and really don't want the hassle of getting the slide milled. Just plug in the barrel and spring and runs flawlessly.

Works as a comp, but the set screws walk out leaving lock tite to do the work, red is a must making cleaning more annoying. Does mitigate recoil but use +p or hotter range ammo or it won't cycle properly. Even 124 blazer will give a few f2f per mag and last round hold open won't work in that situation either, don't bother with 115.
