Not a folding sight!

I have no clue why this is labeled as a deployable sight. It is indeed a fixed sight. No folding. I returned the sight and bought the folding sight. I just got back from the range. It took some time to get used to this sight. Once I did I found my groups shrinking compared to a normal round aperture. It's paired with the Magpul MBUS Pro front sight and works great. There was only a two click elevation adjustment. Overall this is a well made and effective sight and is very accurate.

This is an excellent product. The surface area on these catches is neither too big or too small. No more fumbling around finding the catch. Even with gloves on.

Not good with a can cover.

If you are using a can with a cover on a pistol there is not enough cantilever angle to allow space to use the cover. The can clearance is fine but not with a cover, The end of the rail section close to where you put your hand is too tall and blocky. My thumb runs into it on my AR pistol because of limited mounting space. No problem at all for use on a carbine but not a good choice for pistols. I ordered the Magpul version and have no issues with using it on my pistol with a cover.

Great upper

This complete upper (minus BCG and charging handle) makes any build easy.
No worrying about gas tube length or type of gas block to install. It's all done for you by Aero Precision.
Accuracy is very good with constant groups.
The only issue I had was my failure to clean the packing grease out of the star chamber.
This grease collected powder reside and kept the BCG from fully going forward. I did clean the barrel before firing but forgot about the chamber. My bad.
After a though cleaning I've had flawless functioning.
This is my second upper from Aero Precision and both have been stellar products.

Metal where it's needed for strength. Hard weight saving plastic elsewhere.
Feeds .300 BLK flawlessly. Some standard AR magazines won't.
Easy bottom plate removal if you need to do so.
Great choice when using optics as the magazine won't bottom out on a rest or ground.
