Better than the Surefire switch

Written on Sep 16, 2025

I had the Surefire switch but it took too much rail space, had a cheap molded plastic rail clamp, and was way too easy to accidentally discharge the light. The Modbutton Lite takes s fraction of the rail space, has a better mount with screws, and is shrouded and recessed in such a way as to prevent any accidental activation. It does take a bit more thumb pressure to activate but the more I train with it, the more I’m loving it.

Aimpoint Quality Without 3x-1 Price

Written on Dec 20, 2024

The 3X-C seems every bit as tough and well made as its far more expensive military-grade cousins. The glass clarity is as good but the eye relief is slightly less. Im not sure what is “commercial” about it. Would definitely buy again.

Solid MI Quality as Always

This was probably the 6th mount I’ve purchased from Midwest Industries. I’ve owned other brands but this one is hands down the best.

Best solution for unused rail space

It takes a few times of popping then on and off to use these but now I wouldn’t use anything else. Highly recommend.

The Best Stock Out There

Written on Sep 11, 2024

This is my second stock from B5 Systems. Other stocks I’ve tried always had a slight jiggle. The B5’s fit solid but still slide easily. I own the SOPMOD and the Bravo models and neither disappoint. The Bravo is slightly lighter and smaller but maintains that perfect cheek rest angle. Would definitely buy again.

Midwest Industries mounts are the best

Written on Aug 24, 2024

ive owned several optics mounts in my time but none better that Midwest Industries QD mounts. I have one for my ACOG and recently purchased another for my Trijicon MRO. They are solid, rugged mounts that retain their zero if removed and put back on the the same rail position. Ill never buy anything but MI mounts.

Dot has a starburst (updated)

Written on Aug 23, 2024

I previously reviewed this with not so stellar results. But I believe now the starburst effect was indeed my eyes. So I’m changing it to five stars. I had a buddy look today at the range and he said the door was perfect. And it looked far better to me as well. I think my previous experience may be attributed to the lasik eye surgery I had a while back. This is a great optic overall. Made in the USA, superior battery life and tough like all Trijicon products.

Dot has starburst

Written on Aug 22, 2024

I kept thinking my vision was just blurry when I looked into the MRO and experienced a small amount of starburst on the dimmest setting. It was worse at higher settings. Then I looked through my Trijicon RMR on my other rifle and it was perfectly crisp at any setting. So I agree with the other post saying this product is inferior to other Trijicon products.

Too bad you cant get it anymore

Written on Sep 17, 2023

This is an outstanding optic. Most know the solid capability of the TA31 but the addition of the Primary Arms Aurora reticle makes this the best military capable scope “that used to be” on the market. The discontinuation was not due to anything wrong with the scope, but was rather some disagreement between Trijicon and Primary Arms. Unlike some others, I feel the markings are not too small. They are rather inconspicuous, but readable. The design of this reticle is fantastic. It has markings for moving targets, wind holds, reference targets, and the Chevron is clearly visible I like green. Would highly recommend this reticle if you can find one on the aftermarket.
