Fits MAC 1014

Written on Aug 28, 2025

Snaps into bolt and rotates easily. Works the bolt with a comfortable grip. It is difficult to remove, needs a tool for prying.

edge to edge clear red dot.

Mounting was easy, it came with several different sets of screws so I could pick the correct thread pitch, diameter and length. It also came with a 1deg. mounting plate. I fits perfectly with the plate which puts the dot closer to mid range in the vertical adjustment. It also came with a pickitinny adapter. I checked the parallax, the dot aligned with the target and stayed crisp inside the viewable area of the sight. I like the battery placement, no need to remove the sight to replace the battery.

wouldn't zero.

I installed it and it was very tight going on. The windage would adjust with a noticeable clicking, but the elevation had no resistance and wouldn't adjust at all.

Trybe gas block tube alignment problem

Written on Jul 31, 2020

The gas block looks good but I tried installing the gas tube, the Trybe gas tube and the Trybe gas block pin holes don't line up. I don't know if it's the gas tube or the gas block or both that's the problem. The gas port holes line up correctly. I've installed many gas tubes before, the roll pin drives in easily, but this time it went in halfway and stopped. Upon examining the gas block closely I found the pin holes were misaligned. I can't use it in this condition.
