Another LPK

Written on Dec 18, 2017

I have a familiarity with Strike Industries products and a few of there accessories are on my rifles. However, this purchase was made solely on price and being in stock.

So It's a LPK... what makes this one special?

Nothing really... This product is not much of a change from the standard mil-spec LPK which for sale on Optics Planet. Some of them are cheaper than others but I can say with all honesty that this kit isn't any different than 90% of the LPK out there.

So what do I like about this kit and what do I not like?

-Safety Levers-

I like them and I hate them. These do have different look which seems weird but goes well on the rifle. They're a bit sharp in a couple areas and I could see this being and annoyance if you're using your firearm over a long period of time (duty/class/training) and especially without gloves.

-Mag Release-

The button on the left side of the receiver is more aggressive than the standard mag release. I like it.

-Bolt Catch/Release Lever-

Aesthetically I like it but it ends there. The lever catch and release pads are canted out a little farther away from the receiver than I would like. I can see this being an issue of catching on gear and clothing while the rifle is slung.

-Takedown Pins-

They work very well on forged upper and lower, no complaints.

-Trigger-

It's a mil-spec trigger which seems to be slightly less heavy than some of the LPK out there. I am sure you could do some adjustments to clean it up.

Finally, would I recommen

Good Sights BUT...

...the front post arrived either really depleted or deader'n a doornail.

As a first option, I don't plan to return these sights to Optics Planet. I plan to be contacting Trijicon about getting a replacement we'll see what happens from there. These are a great upgrade to the Walther PPQ M2 but at their price I want that tritium working.

PSB for CZ Scorpion Pistol

Written on Sep 22, 2017

First of all the item pictured is not for the CZ scorpion but most of you will already know that...

Second, the buffer tube comes installed into the brace (at least mine did anyway) which makes mounting kind of a chore.

Third, this feels and looks solid on the weapon.

As an FYI... For those of you who don't know, you're going to need the CZ Pistol M4 Stock adapter to install this brace on the pistol. You can find this for ~$50 on Amazon and it might even be a prime item.

Finally... This is not my first experience using a SB tactical brace and it most certainly wont be my last.
