Just need to be a tad bigger

Written on Jul 30, 2014

Great sight and very solid. I do wish the rear Tritium was just a tad bigger or brighter but not very much more. Otherwise a great sight. I did have a little POI change going from small aperture to big at 50 yards but not enough to make a big difference for CQ work, in house, clearing rooms, etc.. Good shooting.

great light with options of low light first

I used an offset mount on my 16" BCM middy and am very impressed with it. I like using the lower 30 Lumen light indoors to save my night vision and the option of disabling the strobe as well. I have mine set up for the 200 Lumen as second push of the switch for outdoor use and first press as 30 Lumen. Those light colored walls on the higher power totally back light my body to an intruder and reflect back at you making me loose my night vision which is a no no.I placed mine on my 13" keymod rail as far forward on the rail as possible with offset mount to prevent barrel shadowing with still room to depress my release post on my Troy folding front Tritium sight. Good quality sight and well designed for half the price of Surepricey models. Good shooting.

Doesn't get better than this

This sight is awesome and was dead on from the box after tightening down using Fed. M855 62 grain ammo. Just needed to move my rear sight 5 clicks to the right to put POI in bulls eye at 50 yards on my BCM 16" middy. I suggest using blue lock tight on screws after you decide if you want sight at the very end of rail or a couple notches back. I like it at the end for longer sight radius but depends on where you might be placing your weapon light and if you use an offset mount like a Thorntail. That is important as to the accessibility to pushing release pin to fold down sight. I had just enough space to get my finger to push pin in at the end putting my light as far forward as possible using this mount on my Inforce WML light as I don't want any shadowing when using light. Good shooting.
