Ordered this based on a recommendation from a buddy who builds PRS Match guns. This rod is the most solid one on the market and the “sail” fully supports the upper when you are installing the barrel nut. The Geissele ones are ok in comparison but sometimes you don’t know how much torque has been put on that nut. Buddy found one barrel nut torqued to over 200 ft-pd and had he not had the Midwest industries rod, the upper could have warped from the force. Well worth the money and not “offensive” on price.

Great quality and precise fit on my X Macro. Very easy to install but there was a slight learning curve to figure out the different sight picture settings. USA assembled makes a difference. Aluminum housing is light and robust and you can literally hammer nails with it
