Not sure if I ordered the right one for my 10/22. I used this with Tactical Solutions x-ring open sights fluted barrel. After a lot of sanding on the barrel shank to get it to fit, this v-block was nowhere close to fitting. I had to file it down on the "up" side significantly. I just may not have realized that these were such "precise" parts and require the final bit of fitting. With my very limited gunsmithing skills, I got both to fit and the rifle went together. I would recommend this part as I did not try another brand to see if that needed to be fitted too.

Still trying to fit it. I wish Tactical Solutions would have left the shank uncoated. I'm still sanding away all the finish to try to get it to fit. Other wise barrel is exactly as pictured. The fiber optic sights are higher than the factory sights so you can still use them with TS's rail installed. Very pleased with this in a Boyds stock (when I get it to fit). Just be aware there may be more sanding than you are looking to do. Sand, check fit, repeat, repeat...

Perfect for my 10/22. I have an older rifle with the barrel band and this stock is about 2.5" longer than factory one. Fit my Tactical Solutions barrel. The two swivel studs up front are nice. Overall, it is beefier than factory so may fit better for adults.

Besides the price at the time, I ordered the green finish just for something a little different. Usual Magpul quality. This was to go on a "plinker" so I didn't want to pay too much, so polymer was it. The adjustable factor made these a no brainer. The only downside, and I don't consider it a deal breaker, is that they have to be slid down the rail from the end. The set screw is removed completely but since the base is one piece, you don't "clamp" it on, but instead have to slide it on the rail. No problem, considering that these type of sights are usually placed towards the end of the rails anyways. The fit is tight working it down the rail, but this also makes for a rock solid, no wobble sight once tightened down. The spring action is activated by the very large button area. You can't really miss it, even if wearing gloves.

The stock photo seems to show item in black, however, they come in stainless. Not a problem with functionality, but I was hoping not to have the "silver band" showing on my barrel. You don't see it unless you look for it anyways. Perfectly good item, but just be aware, it will come in silver.

Of course, "in stock" does not always mean in stock. Took awhile to get but I can't hold that against the item. It was a straight "drop in" for my Remington 700 BDL. I had a HS Precision mag kit installed. This required some shaving of the stock. The spot, which in most stocks is wood, was metal in the Woox. So only take this on if your comfortable doing that. This stock is meant for a scope. The new comb height basically made my iron sights painful to use. Although pricey, the look is fantastic. If you can, wait for a sale or other discount.

I recently installed one of these on a "mil-spec" carbine. Fit the A2 front sight perfectly. So I tried another one with Midwest Industries receiver height gas block with rail. Snapped in easier than the first. However, there is a 3/8" gap on the top between the front of the gas block and the handguard rail. So, even though I consider it cosmetic, the rail is not completely continuous in front of the block. These are kind of pricey, but if you catch them on sale, they're definitely a nice "drop in" option to other name brands that you have to take apart because of their proprietary barrel nut system. FYI - the pieces do not snap in under the end cap but rather seat around it. Skeptical at first because it comes in 3 pieces, but it tightens down nicely. Something different, and even though it feels solid, I don't know how it will hold up to heavy use.

It is fact a kit, but mine had everything but the end cap (which is not pictured anyways). Mil-spec barrel nut but no end cap. It also included a sling swivel, but without the end cap, you can't complete a mil-spec build. The sight was also not drilled for the taper pins. So unless you can drill them yourself, you will have to find a gunsmith that has experience with A2 sights.

In theory, this seems like a simple design, easily installed. If you don't have the right tools, it aint gonna happen. The pin did fit my Franklin Armory lower, but the clips are so small, making it difficult to install. Three clips come in the package, whether you going to bend one or two, or just plain lose it. My frustration got the best of me and I went back to a roll pin. If you can install it, I don't see it being an easy task to remove it either, to switch bolt releases. I give it a 3 because it seems like a good idea, but I just couldn't get it installed. I didn't check any other brands to see if there would be a fit problem or compare billet to forged lowers.
