Nice, Simple gas tube

Written on Feb 16, 2021

As the title states. A nice simple quality gas tube.
I have purchased this tube on 2 separate occasions.
I have found these fit more snug to the gas blocks i have installed them on rather than some other gas tube brands.
Very happy with the product. It installs nice without any fuss.
That's about all you can ask for

Ultralight weight, but built with quality in mind

Written on Jan 09, 2021

I have tried a few different gas block brands, Seekins / Strike Inds / SA.
They all have their place but they are all not as nice as this SLR block.
Clicks are crisp and easy to track. fit to barrel was good. Gas tube fitting was also good.
I found that my stainless aero gas tube fit a little loose before the roll pin gets installed
I was concerned with gas leaks so ended up installing a melonite BAD gas tube which fit much better.
Weight, Holy cow, weight is a 1/3 of what my strike ind's steel gas block.
Could not recommend this gas block enough if you have a little extra cash.

Quality Buffer tube

Written on Jan 09, 2021

I like the extended lip and price. Mine is all black with some branding text engraved by the position holes.
There is no white lettering as others have complained about.Purchased this to put under my PRS stock.
Installation to lower was fine no issues. I did notice that i will need to slightly sand my PRS stock adapter to get it to fit. For those familiar, the Gen3 PRS stocks come with a carbine buffer tube adapter but relies on running a plain jane milspec castle nut. I am running a PWS castle nut that includes a QD sling point. This feature creates a slight gap between lower and stock.
I did not dock any stars from the buffer review as my fit issue is due to my stock choice and castle nut preference.
Overall it is a solid buffer tube choice. I would buy again.

Function over form

Written on Jul 18, 2020

I was pretty excited to receive this grip since it was a great price vs. MSRP on Brigand Arms website.
The kit includes a titanium bolt which was a bonus at $10 value.
Upon receiving the order and opening the package i was a little disappointed.
The grip i received was not polished or finished to quality depicted.
It does not have a glossy clear coat looking finish. There are sanding marks visible in the resin.
Some areas look like the resin was sanded down to the carbon weave.
There was also a nich mark in the resin straight out of package.

Looking past the appearance of this grip, it is light and comfortable.
I chose this grip for my lightweight build and still plan on keeping due to the weight savings and comfort.
The grip is clearanced in the mating area for the lower receiver. It is not a snug fit like some plastic molded grips.
It 100% relies on the tension from the grip bolt. I applied blue loc-tite to ensure it doesn't loosen up.
Overall I like this grip but it is not the jewelry that i was hoping for.
I would be dissapointed if i paid full price for this level of quality.
